still playing? you mean just started playing in 1.19, because thats when i started to even care. I was a long time FFXI player and had hype out the ass for this game, and it turned into garbage. Im barely playing, mainly leveling because its one of the few things thats solid right now. If they started charging right this second, id put it down until 2.0 without even thinking about it, its just not good enough "yet" to pay for it. By 2.0 i think with lots of the major issues (crappy world, terrible server coding issues, smooth UI, lots of new and possible content and features that can only be done in 2.0....ect) il be glad to pay, but until i see those things done, im not going to bother. So don't tell me what i do and don't do.

@Oni....you cant compare this to buying a bad normal game, because heres the kicker....its subscription based MMO! They ony do as good as the amount of players who are consatntly paying for the game. Do i think what they showed will be good? sure...can i see it right now and have 100% proof it works...nope? Do you buy broken bad games purely based on the devs saying "we will patch it and make it better"...i sure don't nor does most of the people who buy games.

There is a reason the game is like it is now, having a small community (which will drop off a good bit until next year) and it has all the horrible press it does.

Seriously? Whenever you go buy a game, sometimes it rocks and sometimes it sucks. That's really how things go. You're really in no position to demand your money back or anything, that's just how it is. SE is remaking the game from scratch to save their brand name and try to give the game a 2nd go, instead of trying to just patch it up the best they can.

It is a hard task and they count on us to tell them if they are heading in the right direction in order to make sure that the re-launch will be as smooth as possible. It is hard work and it would be nice for them to hear some encouragement instead of all the whining and complaining they are used to.

Also plenty of people will be "supporting" the game's "possibilitys" when they start paying monthly fees for the inferior version, with promises of what it can be, with no garuntees.

This is a business, not a friendship circle.

Plenty of companies sell shit products and will at no point make them better. Not just in video games, but in any market of the economy. The respect part comes in play when the developer of the product admits its faulty and spends their money to make it better for the consumer.

But you can stop making it sound like they're doing all of this out of the goodness of their hearts. They don't want to make sure we feel we got our money's worth, they want to make sure we give them more money. That isn't happening unless they fix it.

They want money, not love. End of story.

as some1 that only came to the game just before 1.19, i missed all the bad times, i must say i get the final fantasy feel and i only play this MMO for FF feel so. thank you

They gave us the Following:

-1.3 years worth of free play
- 2 months free trial Again for Version 2.0
-Giving players that own the game a Free Copy of FFXIV 2.0

That's why I respect SE, and not to mention the communication they have established with the community

That's because of that kind of mentality having a nice society is difficulty. We are talking about the persons developing the game, not the company in its entity as a company.
