I think it should be common courtesy not to roll Need if you are gonna dump the item for seals if someone in the party could use the ilvl upgrade.
Glamour I understand, but stupid company seals? Come on!

When you craft a lot, GC turn ins have a lot of seals conversion for crafting mats. And some of those mats are expensive in bulk or short. It's not an uncommon thing among the players. Ventures also if you don't do the dailies for beastmen tribes and such too. It's about saving money when you craft, though sometimes you have to spend some gil. But this is only one way to really maximize efficiency. And who knows if they plan to put other mats in after SB releases. Why do you think people take the same route with seals and tomes by grinding to max before SB releases? >_>
This is about where I stand. Even rolling Need for glamour is a bit of a dick move if someone else could use the upgrade. But I can't control what other people do, and I'm guilty of this myself especially if I've farmed the run multiple times.
If someone wanted the drop badly, they should have also come on to the job instead of playing a different one. Hard to trust word of mouth without actually seeing gear sets to determine whether it's a lie or not. Or make a pre-determined 8 man party instead, where you can guarantee your drops with your party. Asking is okay, but making a scene of it and pointing fingers like the OP had been through does not make it any better.
Again, as many had pointed out, no one under any circumstance is in obligation to explain themselves in a DF party, or any relevant or non relevant content to this game. That's what party finder is for. Common courtesy is good, but expecting it of the community is asking for too much sometimes and taken for granted.
