This might sound cold, but no one has to explain themselves to anyone in a rando pug group. If it's something you need, just tell them. If they can roll Need on it, let em and roll against them. If they aren't a healer, it's a "them" problem. Not yours. Too often I see people bullied into passing on gear that would be upgrades for them. My opinion, roll need if you can and forget what others say. You owe explanations to no one.

I hate to pick on grammar and language, but you appear to speak english well enough that using 'rando' is an actual choice not a mistake. Either way, I've noticed lots of posters using this and it bugs the living crap out of me.

Soooooo.... The word is "random", there is an 'm' at the end of it. I mean, OK someone will say "It's just slang". It's pointless. It's just a single key-press to make a word from a non word. Using 'rando' just looks wrong. IMHO, it either looks like a typo, or a linguistic problem.

And, on topic, if you are playing a job and can need, need if you want, greed if you want, pass if you want. Unless you owe a favor to the person requesting you to pass, I would feel free to ignore the request. If they want that gear so badly, then they can run as whichever job it is and need on it them self. It's Duty Finder, it's PUG, no one knows anyone else nor do they owe any favors.

Well, randomly, I cared enough to post this time, but perhaps random chance will make me pass next time. Then again, perhaps not. Yes, feel free to blame the RNG.

Anyways... Seals are a justifyable reason to roll Need on gear. That being said, I will personally pass gear for people who ask very nicely for a certain piece. If no one says anything, I'm not going to examine everyone to figure it out myself.
