I mean it cost as much as a Macbook so I thought it would have around the same specs.

That configuration is like about $480 for the CPU and $500 for the GPU alone. Add in the cost for MB ($340,) RAM($150) and it probably should have cost $1470, You would still need a PSU, HDD and Chasis for it, or replace the guts of an existing system.
