Where I live the outfit much more expensive then going to the movies. I usually go to a morning show it cheaper and less people in the theater, regular screen is $6 and IMAX screen like $10 so either version cheaper then $18 for the outfit which I would only care about the top so it would be a $18 chest piece as I wouldn't use the leg/dress part. Oh and have you ever worked retail? I do and have people complain to me about prices all the time.

    That's not the point!
The point is, that SE should add such items in this subscription based game itself. As loot, as recipe or whatever.

We all get that it is optional and that we don't have to buy it. We got it, really!
I could buy it, my wallet could handle this. But should i? Hell no!
SE is getting really greedy and we should not support that.
So, instead of extra/optional stuff, you'd rather they trickle everything out slowly? I don't think the Mogstation has slowed the release of content at all, things just pop up independently.

You can't just declare "I want all the things, and all the extra things" without compensating somehow. You can't expect them to work harder to deliver you more product for the same fee, while maintaining their release schedule. That's just asking something for nothing.

I've sacrificed to put myself where I am in life, if I choose to spend a little extra on my hobby, or buy fancy jewelry (I commissioned a custom ring reminiscent of Carbuncle, with ruby, paraiba tourmalines, sapphires), or occasionally buy steak/salmon for my dogs; if I do any of those things to make myself happy, that's my prerogative. I don't feel guilt about it because that's the life I've built for myself.

Some people choose to spend on designer clothing, continuous phone upgrades, travel, etc. I don't care for those things (but when I do make a purchase, I choose something with quality and longevity), but some people do. I spend my money elsewhere, and this game is one of those things (and I don't spend very much on it at all).

Why are people with disposable income and a willingness to spend it stupid? Just because you cannot afford it or feel the value isn't worthwhile doesn't arbitrarily make you smarter. Mayhaps I am simply in a better position than you, thus what you consider extravagant, I consider it acceptable?

Because paying an absurd price for such an item is not smart spending. That's my opinion, and the opinion of many others as well judging by how many threads there are about this.

Just because you can afford it doesn't mean that everyone can. Why should the pricing be catered to upper-class subscribers?

And for the record, financially I could purchase this if I wanted to without any repercussions.

No, you're stating your opinion as if it's a fact, set in stone. You're saying a large group of people lack intelligence because they don't hold your opinion. And then try to justify it by, "But others agree with me~~" You do not look good here.

Which is unfortunate because I do happen to think the Mog Station items are a little too pricey. I think that putting emotes in the Mog Station is weird.

But guess what? Life's not fair and it's not up to Square-Enix to worry about about if you can't afford it, especially if you're on this forum having a tantrum like so many others. There's plenty of people playing this game who can.

Playing this game is a LUXURY. You own a computer or console powerful enough and EXPENSIVE enough to be able to afford the LUXURY of playing this game. And you have the nerve to come in on some high horse as if you're a savior for the poor? Someone who genuinely didn't have a lot of money would probably not want to PLAY a subscription based game like this one when that money could go to food and bills. And if someone is that hard up on money and paying a sub for this game, then THAT is not smart spending.

Look what I'm saying is if you want to deny the fact that Mog Station money doesn't go back into the game, sure, you do that. But don't go calling or insinuating that people are idiots or stupid for spending their money how they please. Who even are you to judge how they spend their money?

Believe what you want, but I'm sure the EU server move, as well as the US server move, Fanfests and these small events and promotions they're running with Amazon, Dr. Pepper. etc. for Stormblood had nothing to do with Mog Station funds, right? It all just came out of Yoshi's imaginary college funds, right?

My big problem with mogstation is the account locking. Prices aren't necessarily cheap but they're affordable for extras and I can live with that. I just don't want to pay for it multiple times. I've done so in the past on a limited basis... and at this point since it seems to be a recurring issue I'm going to pass on these. I can live without them like I live without many things in game which is fine. I don't expect to have everything.

Does it make me happy, no. I love the game. I spend way too much time in it and I'm not pleased with their policy. Why some items are account wide and others aren't I don't quite understand. It's really a tax/penalty on those of us who create alts because we want to have and experience different races. If I could do that on one account (save a look) I'd have just one account.

They were also only obtainable once and not more, because they got registered as bonus items. That is the reason why Fantasia got sold in bundle of x1, x3 and x5. After someone bought all 3 bundles, he couldn't buy more Fantasia.

It was the playerbase who demanded to SE to change it, and SE changed it.
