I hope for more gender neutral hairstyles too.
But with that said, I agree we need more long styles and ponytails/topknots etc. Au Ra and Elezen men look great with long hair so splitting it into male and female when there's so much visual diversity between the races makes no sense. I want some more long styles that would suit an elegant (or Eastern) character too, for everyone. My character doesn't look good with all of the short hair we've been swimming in lately.
Personally, I like updos and would like a lot more of them since they avoid most clipping issues without being super short.
Still waiting for the super elegant, very long hime style. Like a certain new antagonist.
SE, gimme this. This and Yugiri's hairstyle, please.
Yes, equality is limiting your options... When you are repeatedly beeing forced into a version of an armor you have no interest in...cool that you like it.
I dont like only having these many "neutral" options on glams and hairstyles.
I want feminine stuff, catering to female chars. Give me more long, feminine hair styles.
Give me more fancy feminine caster robes/dresses etc.
To hell with this "equality". It's limiting my options.
And many of my guy friends HATE how half of their options are too girly.
Honestly, I'm willing to bet that a big part of the community dislikes this kinda somewhat Unisex SE is pulling there.
The most ironic part? Youre thanking them for bringing equality when in reality, its SE trying to safe time by not having to double their work by designing stuff for each gender separately.
Unisex or not, it's better than seeing one thing and being forced into another.

I said it is limiting MY options.
Its a statement for MYSELF and I do disagree with your statement that its better than being "forced" into a version you dont like.
Because for me that Unisex version is being forced into something I dont like.
Yes, it does limit MY options because a lot of options arent viable for me when I dont like the aesthetics of it. And when you look at the amount of likes my comment has gotten, it
seems like theres a bunch of people agreeing with me.
Only realistic option to fix hair problems is to use something similar to pure hair technology (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrhSVcZF-1I), that comes to a huge performance cost (meaning player with modest setup are out of luck) and it's only really viable for your character at the moment (DEVS are still forced to do non pure hair models). While I agree with your post, I'd prefer they first fix the clipping issues with the hairstyles we do have already. I believe they said longer hairstyles would be harder to implement because of this and other limitations that I can't remember right now. My poor husband always gets shafted on his char though, I wish there were better outfits for men too. I want more uniqueness!
The other one is to adapt each single hair to each piece of gear and that's is not cost effective for SE (it's the same reason about why they use "neutral" design for gear).
