Every job in this game is essentially already a DPS. It isn't new, and tanks specifically have it built in. I hate to reference FFXI, but if you've ever tanked endgame content in that game, you know that some games make tanks' rotations almost entirely focused on survival and threat management.

In this game, threat is brain-dead easy to hold (and swap), and survival just boils down to routine tank busters that are easily predictable once you learn the timings. While I would love for tanking to actually be more about tanking, it will be a long time, if ever that we see that happen.

The part where I'm perplexed is why we even still have tank stances. It's like the developers want us to tank with tank stance, so they keep making it harder for us to do so without it, but they don't wanna simply balance our jobs without them.
