1. Please don't cut all the content from my quote. My last suggestion does not penalize the mentor in any way.A sharp drop in Mentor roulette goers. Instance fatigue, where you keep getting the same thing day after day, is part of why even the more well behaved Mentors might quit a dungeon, as is ultimately their right. When it comes down to it, most suggestions for punishments will end up dissuading the Mentors who do want to help and queue for more than just the pony, compared to people who are only there for the mount.
2. Stop doing roulette if you are tired and don't want to do it. It's nonsense and you are making trouble to other players.

If you want harsher penalties for people leaving a roulette don't be surprised if people don't view the new person bonus or roulette bonus worth their time anymore. Then your wait time will be even worse. I would rather just not use those roulette at all with randoms and just either run with my free company, a link shell friend, or just pf it if it ever gets to that point. A carrot on a stick can only motivate people so much.
Would you be ok with having to depend more on pf to complete those instances that not many people would want to run of their own will to begin with?
Do you want mercenary players because that's how you get mercenary players.
If anything you should be trying to get SE to allow you to invite people into that instance directly if they are trying to help someone with it.
I do notice as a mentor you get the same thing. The 4 man trials. And mostly the level 40-50 dungeons.
Rarely do I get an extreme primal, but when I do its people who haven't even seen a video. Aurum vale is probably one mentors get more frequently
I can't believe you don't think forcibly getting the same instance over and over again is a punishment.
I reeeeeally don't think you want people to stop doing roulettes.
Don't change my words. It is not over and over. You just have to complete the instance you drawed, then you would be back to normal.
It is not a penality because technically it's just a time leap. Nothing happened.
But well it's the friendly opinion from someone who never dodged anything :-)
If it was a requirement to watch a video before going into it, the game would've showed it to you. There was no video for world firsts. Now they're being nice and set up Mentors to queue for most of those things.
1. chara limit. It does, the way it'll extra penalize any roulette goer. But you don't rely on just any roulette to fill those Shiva Ex queues, so in the long run, in this context, the damage will be worse.
2. That is far from a Mentor-roulette only problem, but is, again, ultimately the players' right to do. You're not paying anyone's subscription other than your own.
Cool. Who is that helping then?Don't change my words. It is not over and over. You just have to complete the instance you drawed, then you would be back to normal.

The 3 people who were teamed with the dodger will still need a replacement once that person logged off or switched to an alt. It'll punish that person more, yes, but ultimately not resolve the problem of leaving in the first place. They'd sooner not queue to begin with, and depending on which content (aforementioned Shiva Ex comes to mind), this might prove to be a problem. Isn't that why certain roulettes were even established to begin with - to fill queues?
Then you didn't understand my idea. The 3 people who were teamed with the dodger will still need a replacement once that person logged off or switched to an alt. It'll punish that person more, yes, but ultimately not resolve the problem of leaving in the first place. They'd sooner not queue to begin with.
1. A player tag for the roulette.
2. The player enters Val d'Aurum (unlucky).
3. From that point the player's roulette is locked on Val d'Aurum.
4. The lock is open once he has completed Val d'Aurum.
So he won't leave his 3 poor teammates alone, because he has to do it. Or he can leave and never do roulette again.
The good point of that method is that it puts the dodger in the state of the other deceived party members.
And I totally disagree with the argument "We have the right because we all pay FF14". It's a multiplayer game so you have to respect others.
