When it comes down to it, most suggestions for punishments will end up dissuading the Mentors who do want to help and queue for more than just the pony, compared to people who are only there for the mount.

The bottom line is, that if SE thought any of these punishment ideas was worthwhile, they would've already been implemented. But they have no motivation to further penalize their paying players, least of all people who, at the end of the day, volunteer for this. And something a lot of people in this thread seem to forget is exactly that - not all of us Mentors are complete jerkfaces, but we're the ones likelier to really be hurt by these things more than the people who just muck about for the pony.
