You are missing my point. Northrend only required you to be lvled plus one quest. We are not at the point where we need a leveling boost. Hell PoTD levels you so fast. But we were past story skip potion at 2.5. The amount of work at the end of 2.5 is probably greater then any decade old MMO. So if they didn't bundle both, the story skip should almost be mandatory. That is why I said not to cover the level potion.

And you are missing mine - that at that point in the story for WoW, there was no skipping of any kind available at all, so there's really no easy comparison. You're trying to compare apples and oranges to make your point.

It's definitely not something that should be encouraged for new players, which is what bundling them together with the game would do.

I agree that this would be the kind of optics bundling it would give, and why it's too early to start doing. That they exist at all this early in the game's life cycle is enough.

Well, of course there wasn't because they didn't need any at the time. SE has managed to create more artificial gating in base game and the first expansion than other games in multiple expansions, hence they implemented them earlier.

And I'm still sure that's intentional. The sooner you can start selling such things, the better.
