I keep seeing this thrown around a lot, and I can only ask where people are getting that from. I mean, its fine to speculate but in one of the Live Letters, Yoshi P. stated the current expansions (3.0 to 5.0) are telling the story of the rebuilding of the Eorzean Alliance. 3.0 was about Ishgard, 4.0 will be about Ala Mhigo, which only leaves out Sharlayan for 5.0. Seems more likely we'd go after the Garleans in 6.0 rather than 5.0, and the Lorebook states that Sharlayan's population is racially diverse, so we have no idea what races are there and in what numbers. Could be there is a Viera-Like race living on Old Sharlayan.
