Then yeah, they should leave and make their own thread. You can stay if you disagree with adding viera or whatever and talk about it. I haven't told anyone to "get out" other than when they are requesting another race in this thread because this isn't the place for it. So...?

I'm pretty sure your whole post is filled with a lot of wrong information.

You might wanna check it again because a lot of people are going to be able to tell what's right and wrong with what you wrote.

The Ivalice argument is what I refer to and that was frustrating for both of us because even when evidence, or points were brought up on certain topics regarding the raid... they'd just be dismissed with excuses on how the raid will be about Viera, how it guarantees that Viera will be playable and so forth.

Your quote regarding "I want another race - go make another thread" is okay (though I'll still post about compromises and hybrids). It's the posts that imply "this thread is only for showing support" are what I refer to.

I think that particular sentence was referring to specifically one person. "(to the point of dismissing quotes and evidence entirely)" makes it rather clear for me.

There are also some posts near the first page that amount to demanding anyone who doesn't show support to get out, which simply cannot happen and I cannot accept that attitude. This is a General Discussion forum and there will be differing opinions. People can show support and others can show their lack of support by disagreeing and presenting their points on why (opinions and ideas on why it would be a bad idea, or how it wouldn't be a Viera). If people only want 100% support and no disagreements, then they're better off making a "Show your Support" thread in a place they know will only show support (and that's not the Official FFXIV Forums).

You say that but, this entire forum is filled with that mindset, no matter the topic. The moment you express any sorta negativity towards any aspect of the game for any reason you will run into the same thing for example. In that regard... you're fighting an uphill battle... my condolences ;P

That being said, there are plenty of anti-viera posters in this thread who would like nothing more than this thread being shut down and never appearing again. And it shows in their attitude both towards the topic as well as towards the supporters. Supporters get tired of the provocations (in general) and respond in kind. Hell, just within the last 10 pages we've had people foaming at the mouth towards each other on both sides.

Sigh, it's unfortunate really, as it's actually in the anti-viera's crowds favor to provoke such reactions as the more heated arguments become the closer the thread gets to being shut down forcefully.

Speaking of Rabanastre, that's one of Garlemald's areas. 5.0 is said to be when we start heading into Garlean territory. I think they're connecting the dots in some ways. Return to Ivalice brings viera to Hydaelyn at the end of the raid and in at the start of 5.0 in Rabanastre they'll be there as the new race

3 pounds rabbit, cut into stew-sized pieces
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup grapeseed oil
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup celery, diced
2 cups diced carrots
2 onions, finely diced
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
3 bay leaves
6 cups water
4 cups red wine
4 medium-sized potatoes, diced
1/2 cup sliced sauteed mushrooms


Directions

Using half the flour (3/4 cup) coat the pieces of rabbit, shaking off any excess. Heat the oil and butter in a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, and brown the floured rabbit on all sides. Add the celery, carrots, onions, salt, pepper, bay leaves, 6 cups water and red wine, and stew for about 2 hours. Add the potatoes 45 minutes into the stewing process. Once the rabbit and all the vegetables are cooked, use some water to form a paste with the remaining 3/4 cup flour. Stir the flour mixture into the pot as a thickener. Add the already sautéed mushrooms to the stew and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes. Adjust seasonings, if necessary, and serve.

I can't wait to see a preview of Return to Ivalice... I'll probably just die if I see old faces lol !
