Central Europe, went from somewhere between 80-100 to 190.
Dodging is ok, double weaving got kinda problematic and Swiftcast tends to clip (read as putting swiftcast up but next spell is still being hardcast) a lot more than before now.

Before the move there were no major complaints about the ping from either coast. Yes, the west coast didn't make a stink about the servers being "so far" away.
But now that roles of reversed, east coasters are having trouble? Seriously grow a pair. West coast has always had to deal with higher ping through craptastic level3 and things were fine.

My dear friend lives in CA, plays on EU server, has high ping and guess what. She raids savage, and is fucking amazing. It takes more time to learn fight real well and do stuff preemptively, but it can be done. So this thread speaks more about you and similar FCs than about the DC move.
You know there is plenty of groups that has a lot of fun and yet aren't full of douchebags like you claim them to be. There are far more douchebags outside raid grouops, like the ones who doesn't have one and expect a run from random people, you know, actually not coming in prepared, as in not knowing mechanics and such. Or those who believe they play a solo game with bots and expect everyone else around them to do their job.

Completely agree. We have a Canadian in our EU-based static and the amount of times the increased ping actually factors into anything is scarce to say the least. And he plays Ninja! My dear friend lives in CA, plays on EU server, has high ping and guess what. She raids savage, and is fucking amazing. For some people an additional $4/month actually is an issue. For you it apparently wouldn't be a problem. I could easily afford it too, but for some people that extra cost really would be a problem. No offence intended here but I don't buy this whole "I don't want to pay for another service on top of my sub to play a game". If you care enough about playing then the added cost of $4 per month shouldn't be an issue. I have been doing this since pre-2.0 and I never thought twice about it after I started using it.
What I find funny, is that <5% of the whole population actually Raid seriously, as in cutting edge/blind progression, but according to the forums/reddit, everyone here is playing at the level of 1%? I can't wait for this all to blow over, the delusion that you even need such a low amount of ping to be good at the game speaks volumes on how both spoilt and /not/ good at the game many of them are. [OCE Coil/Savage Raider, PS3, 240ping since closed beta, now it's 170. It's doable, it's difficult, it's not impossible, you're just spoilt.]

Where were the servers before Montreal? Before the move there were no major complaints about the ping from either coast. Yes, the west coast didn't make a stink about the servers being "so far" away.

We are a lot to think it is the solution, it's not because there's one BLM since a year cheating in PvP, that millions of players should have to suffers an awful game responsiveness with unnecessary ping-tax. It seems SE already lifted on some skills the server authorisation, to help NIN with Mudra, why not going further and lifting everywhere.
From 1.0 to 2.0, they even removed it from every GUI actions.
In the topic where it is discussed, someone posted a link where a developer explained in very long technical details how he by-passed the problem on Tera, and how Tera devs could get rid of the problem themself, making the game as responsive as a First Person Shooter, where you send all your actions to the server without waiting for the server to authorise you to use this or this, server still has authority and knows what you were allowed to use and what not.

Im from Rio, using Net 30mbps and Im getting 195-200ms top. Which one are you using? Please remember that FFXIV is officially sold in Brazil and maybe in other countries in South America and the decent latency we used to have is gone. After the change I have to deal with a 300ms latency and my FC colleagues are reporting 270-350ms. We don't have anywhere else to go other than quit the game.
The best case scenario is that SE creates east cost servers, since the company that is hosting their data has data centers on both west and east regions. They solved the problem for a group of players which I'm happy for, but at the cost of another group.
