I have 3 DoW classes in the low 30's and I can tell you for a fact that even 30k an hour solo is a big fat lie.

That's what i thought.... I bought all the best gear for my level, have all the recomended abilities and yet leves take forever to complete and grinding monsters is not even an option. Yet when i complained about that, i got attacked by a bunch of elitist claiming i was a noob and that leveling solo was a breeze.... 50-80k and i heard ever more then that. It just didn't make any sense to me.... in the end it's all about gear and spamming buttons... it aint anything else you can do to be better then anyone else.

Then you're doingitwrong.

A 35ish PUG can hit 40k+ in Coerthas on Pteroc without even trying....

Not really. It depends on many things. Some may use other skills, some may grind different mobs/leves, some may have different gear or some are just more experienced. It really varies.

Even then, a skill or different mobs don't make you jump from 25k exp all the way to 80k.... that is waaaaay too much of a difference and knowing how the game plays it is not possible. Unless they are grinding a new miracle mob that dies in a few hits and gives you 5k exp per kill....

Oh, it sure as hell can. If you are grinding on mobs with high DEF like crabs for example your fight will take 3 times as long as say pterocs or antelope. That translates to 3x 25k = 75k. This is just an example, not a literal equation. The point is finding what drops faster without dealing you too much DMG is a huge part of soloing. The other is in what combination you are using skills and what class skills you have equipped.

Like my PUG example above. If you spam light strike and pummel you are doing crap for damage. Using them to build adequate TP for counters then relying on Auto Attack which hits much harder will give you much faster fights. Haymaker hits like a ton of bricks and combining it with Jarring Strike at the same time you should be able to drop an equal lvl mob in 2-3 evades. At 35 it wasn't hard for me to hit chain 4 consistently and occasionally chain 5-6 solo.
