Guys, most international players play perfectly well with pings of 200 and higher. The game is designed to be playable at 200 ping. If it wasn't it wouldn't have any oceanic players.

The EU servers are opening up because the player base is growing in EU and they need new servers to deal with the growth. The free transfers are for distributing population across the EU servers.

No. EU Servers Where still US Servers. Only that they Where called EU so that You could meet people in your timezone. Thats all.

I don't normally respond to posts like this but you are joking right OP? A latency of 100ms is nothing. You wouldn't even be able to tell the difference gameplay-wise from a 40ms ping or a 100ms ping. Honestly it sounds like your connection woes are an issue with your ISP. To clarify, I am not saying what I am saying just to say it. I am well educated in networking so my response comes from this education. 100ms ping would not, under any circumstance (other than packet loss), cause the issues you are talking about.

If 100ms is unplayable I think there might be other issues at work, like maybe your router, ISP, computer, something (gaming "network booster" card perhaps). That or you've lived some really sweet life thus far lol. I've made do with 500ms pings before, takes a lot of anticipation... (painfully playable). 100-200 is good, 300 is aggressively meh and some anticipation. Below 100 is amazing.

This is false. Sorry. Some jobs require weaving double ogcds for optimal performance, and MCH in particular feels really bad for me with rapidfire up. If you think someone at 200ms can match dps with someone of equal gear and skill as someone with 40, you are wrong. I'm not all SKY IS FALLING GAME IS UNPLAYABLE, but I'm not gonna jump for joy at having to adjust my rotations and dodging after nearly 4 years. Just because the game is playable at 200ms doesn't mean it's enjoyable.

Ping on the east coast is borderline unplayable even with a VPN. Why on EARTH did they move it to west coast rather than central? I thought for sure it was going to end up in Chicago

Went from approx. 50ms using WTFast to 89ms. Without WTFast I'd be over 100ms. Thanks for nothing SE. Guess I won't be playing BRD anytime soon.

I find it funny that People still cant See the Problem. We Where on US Servers Since 1.0. because surprise there Where no EU Servers. When they Released EU Servers At the Start of heavensward we already had our houses. When they implement a Feature Where You can take your house with You ok. But with this Housing System It Seems the only way for Them is to Fefund the House and on the New World all houses are taken. So Yeah.........
Totally comaprable with People Moving to an EU Server by Purpous and Complain and People beeing Stuck on a US World.

I don't care much about the problem, and in fact I have addressed it prior, but seeing all these complaints mostly from europeans about the NA data center move and arguing about free transfers that they are entitled too, leads to me pointing out the sheer irony that have been used, just to excuse why a free transfer is absolute necessary or why the NA data centers need to be moved closer to europe.

Your explanation didn't made it better, in fact it just made it worse lol. I was thinking with me pointing out how ridiculous these requests are, would let people understand how you guys would feel if we're taking this free transfer and then come and complain about our ping or even better demand the EU data centers being moved closer to NA.

Also another fun fact is, and there's no hate in that, I am glad you guys are getting your long desired free transfers, but all these arguments about houses, friends, fc's, ping and what not, will all the sudden vanish the moment the free transfers are opening up.

You can argue that playing with higher pings is doable but no one wants to and no one should have to.
