I feel naked without Minuet on. And even before I got the skill, I was never one to move around much. It took some adjusting, and I didn't exactly like it, but now I prefer to have it as opposed to not having it. I feel much stronger with Minuet on, and with my access to Empyreal Arrow and Iron Jaws. I feel like I hit for next to nothing without it.

Can't say I think they'll remove it for 4.0 though. In the lore book, its listed as one of a bard's tricks of the trade. So seems like it's here to stay.

Absolutely despite it, WM was just implemented as a copy paste deal with MCH, it's widely known the best way to maximize damage as a BRD is to stance in and out of WM. But due to again, idiocy on SEs part you can't exactly do that easily with a 15 second recast.

Once you hit level 52 and you unlock WM it changes the entire feel of the class, plus you don't get any skills that correspond with WM until Empyreal Arrow and Iron Jaws are unlocked. The worst part about the mess of a class that is BRD? Sidewinder isn't even needed to be used with WM on. So you only need WM on for the usage of two skills, which in my book leads the class struggling to find a real identity.

When compared to MCH the class is evidently lacking in terms of flexibility with how the overall changes that WM brings, MCH has a lot more fluid feel with GB active, and has a lot more utility over BRD. MCH can help melee dps out, regen mp, and even keep its auto attack with the rook. Only thing the class can't do is buff magic and offer a cleanse. BRD on the other hand gets Wardens Paean, which is only useful on tanks or on self if a healer is not focused, complete loss of auto attacks with WM, and no added utility for melee dps. Iirc the idea behind BRD and MCH was to create two classes that played in parallel to one another, well you can't be parallel when one class offers more and flows better with said changes.

    - Related to the question above, is anyone worried that their current job (main or favorite) will endure they same type of heavy game-play changes come SB?

I am doing a bit of a self-survey. Thank you in advance for your response!
BRD used to be my favorite casual take it easy for a while easy-mode job.
It was EXACTLY the kind of job that raised the skill floor that the devs are trying hard to work on fixing.
Straight up. A ranged job by default avoids near range attacks,
and the zero cast time allowed players to DPS while moving to dodge AoEs.
    It was PERFECT.

And they took away the most perfect job in the game for raising the ability level of less skilled players.
    OH THE IRONY>

    Yeah, i'm mad about it.
I hope they get their heads in check and fix this.

I've since moved to playing WHM and PLD main, but i really want my Bard back...
You know? Sometimes i just want to take it easy.

At the beginning yes , a lot. But now it seems natural playing Bard the way it's been set up. BUT what I don't like is like it's damaged it's based on RNG rather than a rotation.

It seems pointless. Cast bars are for magic classes not physical classes.

I'm still leveling BRD. I was genuinely enjoying it until I got WM. Now it just feels super awkward and I'm probably going to stop playing it once I hit 60.

Idk. I like bard better as a caster-type. When minute is off Bard feels clunky and constantly over stepping its animations with other abilities. I felt the "new" bard was smoother compared to its lvl 50 incarnation.

    .
Hoping in SB they add more abilities that use WM so it almost never makes sense to take it off, I used to main DRG instead of BRD as was never a huge fan of the job at 50 but once I got used to WM it actually became a fun job to play and can put up some really good DPS now

it felt bad at launch and it still feels bad, used to secondary play bard back in 2.0 now ive touched it maybe 3 times in the last two years.

its tacked on, makes the job clunky and just feels meh as hell, all there is too it.

would have been nice if bard could have gotten its own thing to differentiate it from machinst but nah, lets design a new job then take its core ability onto bard cause we cant be assed to think of anything

I didnt like it at first, since one of the things that I liked about Bard was that unlike Black Mage, they were free to move around. Now I am used to it, but if they were to remove Minuet, I would be fine with it.
