299$ + 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10% = 775,5 (10% interest/year)
(15$ x 12) x 10,8 = 1944$
And I dont think the game company is the bank. if you pay 300$ it will be 300$
299$ + 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10%+ 10% + 10% = 775,5 (10% interest/year)

There are a few (well not a few things) you forgot to take into your calculation:
Most interest rates are now compounded monthly or even daily, your calculation is not even compounded at all.
$15 represent payment per month, think Home Loan, every $15 you repay on the $300 loan does not equal to $15 principal, it's principal + interest = $15. Why do you think most loans are 15+ years?
The game company is a business. A bank is also a business. So you think you pay money to SE, where is that money going to? They get reinvest to make more money. Maybe you don't care that your money get reinvestedbut most of us do, even the billionaires do.
*nvm brain farted*

guess that s why they are billionaires ? and you re right, I dont care what SE do with the money I pay them, all I care is find a way to pay less and I got the most out of it from my side. If I DO care about the money I pay for SE for gaming, I ll better stop gaming and get a better use of those 12$/month.There are a few (well not a few things) you forgot to take into your calculation:

Nvm my calculation is way off >_> forget it.
Lifetime subs are usually a way to get more money from the customer if they aren't sure if the game will remain viable for many years to come. Even with the rocky start, I doubt SE will provide a lifetime option, simply because they can get more money in the long run through monthly subscriptions.
1. Lifetime? D: Must be rich or something.. XDHi all.
I have 2 questions:
1) Has Yoshi-P mentioned anything about lifetime subscriptions, once we have to start paying? I'd rather pay a full cost upfront personally.
2) I haven't seen Yoshi-P or the devs mention anything explicitly saying that we will be able to change our names once the new races arrive (Race, appearance, etc has been mentioned but not name changes). I just want to make sure this will be an option. Anyone seen anything?

$200 + $10 per additional slot, maybe? Also, it's possible they might change their billing method such that you aren't paying extra for character slots, which would be nice.

surely a lifetime sub would be the lifetime of the game. and i'm sure i heard they expect it to be up and running for 10 years. so it would cost you 10 years worth of subs :P
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
I think a limited-offer lifetime sub would draw in more people and be a compromise to many people who feel annoyed they are paying for less than a complete game (I'm not annoyed myself but I know alot of people are). SE could offer the lifetime sub option for maybe a month or so, and then drop it, allowing them to guarantee monthly income from players who join later. Personally, I think it would be a nice gesture to everyone who has stuck with the game from launch.
My $0.02.
