    Does Rouse boost Fey wind?

Hey all. I usually like to combo my Whispering dawn with rouse and illumination (when its up) which boosts the efficacy by a great deal. So I wondered is the same true for Fey Wind? If not what point is there to having Selene form on obey? It seems more efficient to have her on auto pilot so fey wind goes off as quickly as possible.

I don't believe it does. I usually keep Selene on "sic" unless there's certain mechanics that will need the specific abilities at a certain time.

Well, Selene is a very underrated faerie. You also got a Silence and a Raid-wide Erase, and of course a bit of speed. True, Rouse will only enhance her healing, but 40% Healing bonus is pretty good on it's own. And if you needed another reason to keep her on Obey.... you can force cures from her when the hp threshhold isn't there, for when your anticipating a hit like you'd pre-cure anything else.

When Fey Wind, and Fey Caress are on CD when you actually need them, you will KNOW why she MUST be kept on obey. In addition: Rouse also increases Selene's healing and grants her immunity from most nasty status effects.

What Selene needs, is a true instant interruption ability such as stun or stop. This would immediately make her more desirable to use in party play for me. As of right now, I only use her for solo play and roflstomps.

While this is true. I normally have lilly in selene form when there's a whm or ast running with me who's using plenty of regen. I try to contribute to dps output at that point and shift gears back into healing when needed

I understand with Eos form. I always have that on obey. but as far as speed goes. I typically use it as often as I can so there's little difference between my use and her use.

I can understand with Fey Wind. Since it goes off when it is off CD and an enemy is engaged, sic is a great way to ensure you are maximizing by having it always cast at the earliest possible moment, and there are few instances I can think of where you want to hold onto it. Silent Dusk is also nearly useless, but not as useless as her spamming it every 40 seconds.

However, with Fey Caress, she will also burn this up every time it is available and any party member gets afflicted with a status effect. This includes status effects that cannot be removed, as well as status effects that are negligible. Selene is the least consequential of the two by not having her on obey, but that does not mean it is without consequence. Then there is also the factor that if you can micro-manage Eos, you should be able to micro-manage Selene as she is the easier of Lily's forms to do so.

You want Selene on Obey because she'll blow Fey Wind as soon as it is up. She doesn't care if the boss just jumped and became invulnerable because of a mechanics phase, which is a horrible waste.

Also, sometimes she'll blow Fey Caress when someone gets hit by an undispellable status effect, and then it will be on cooldown when you actually need it for something critical. This is hardly ever the case in raids and trials, but I have found she's pretty handy in 24-man raids. There's hardly ever too much healing requirements in 24-mans save for perhaps Scathach and Diabolos+Diabolos Hollow, so WD is less useful there. She's also really good with Deathgaze's Dooms and bleeds, Forgalls' poisons, Ozma's bleeds and Calofisteri's wounds -the last one in case the main tank fucks it up and cleaves the entire alliance with Haircut after Depth Charge.

Her Silence doesn't see much use ever, but if you ever need it you need Obey for it too.

Yep, learn to use Selene on Obey. If you have her on sic, and she blows Fey Wind right when all the mobs die it makes you look really cool doesn't it? On-Sic Fey Caress likely gets used up by a Warrior's pacification. If you have a Bard in the party that is on-top of Warden's Paeon already, you just wasted the cool down. Back for Mind Blast in Midas Savage, Silence was a decent emergency use if you were on-top of it.

The downfalls of using Selene on-sic have changed quite a bit this expansion.

As for Eos, it's not so much of the question of Whispering Dawn being useful, it's the fact you can have a free roused regens every minute. Anytime you can prevent the other healer from having to GCD a party-wide regen, or you are helping them from casting multiple times you are doing a service to them and yourself.

You want Eos and Selene on Obey at all times. Selene's Fey Caress is amazing and will save you a lot of time that you'd otherwise spend spamming Leeches. It's not worth using Selene just for Fey Wind though, so if you know that Fey Caress won't be necessary for the fight you're doing it's better to stick with Eos.
