I wouldn't necessarily call it game design failure. As a concept it's very nice "and now for something completely different" addition to the game. If just they'd drastically reduce the "normal game" experience it gives.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
its just awful that you can level your chars to 50+... at 60 dailys I want meet people who can actually play their cls at least to their core elements (tank keeping aggro on mobs with more than 2 enemies and healers who actually know what esuna is...) - they should cap the exp at lvl 50. or even better remove it entirely out of potd...
df is broken since... I m just waiting for the potions as well... after that potd chars are just something we can smile about -> it will getting even worse with SB.
I'm using them for Leveling Roulettes. Why do you think they don't have a purpose?
Do something that actually uses those bonuses except PotD. Also, first job only? NOTHING that increases EXP by a % is locked to your first job, you can use it on any job as long as it meets the requirements, even crafters and gatherers are affected by the +% of EXP on those pre-order items, because they do not specify "DoW/DoM only". The only way those items are useless is if you've got everything at level cap because the exp multiplier does not apply anymore.Thank you everyone for your opinions. I totally understand that PotD amount of exp that gives is crazy.
All I'm saying is that these bonuses are being underused by the PotD and people only use them for first job then
almost never get used again. I feel like the developers should give them a purpose.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
The Idea is so LOL it almost made me cry....
They sound like they believe that the EXP buffing gear doesn't have a purpose just because no gear effects your anything when you're in Palace of the Dead. They've even said 'Oh I don't have the time to level all my classes up' in a previous post
People shouldn't have to keep saying how Palace is the easiest way to level up right now. It just sounds like 'Oh I'm busy a lot IRL so I want more EXP for my classes I'm speed leveling', so no, no support for this at all.Yes, you don't get any benefit of these items for any of the floors. I totally agree, it is so easy, but with the number of jobs still to level and doing a lot of other stuff in the game and irl, it would take a lot of time for someone who don't have much time to level while they try to keep up with other things.
If anything from gear actually changed anything stat wise while in Palace, an EXP buff could be counted as a stat multiplier, they'd probably have to change how gear functions while there. Right now the only thing gear does for anyone, is act like glamour in there, and it should stay like that.
I totally agree with you. To be honest. I would never level up a job until at least I mastered 80% of the that jobs I have. There should be a place where people should learn their jobs better and have a good level up method.
I didn't mean it like that. what I meant is that when you finish leveling your first job. Most people would try to use PotD more than anything else, so the use of them would decrease.
Anyway, thanks for everyone's opinion. It was an idea which might not worked fully for the better of the game. Thank you for let me think of it again and changing my mind
