While I don't play Scholar, on the rare occasions I actually get Baelsar's Wall, I barely need to touch healing if the DPS are good. Honestly, I would have let them die and told them to stop taking unnecessary damage because I wasn't their babysitter. I bet you were probably pulling more DPS than either of them. Actually, did the Dragoon even aoe? If not, he has no business saying a damn word. We've all had those moments where people yell at us healers because they want to stand in everything/ignore mechanics while we pick up their slack. Neither of them are worth your time thinking about, hun.

It's not a horror story, but...

I'm new to AST, and love it to the point where I will put my WHM in the back seat.

As a healer, I generally prefer to main heal. As AST, I also like to main heal, even if there's a WHM in the group, AND I like doing it in Noct (although my personal preference is Duirnal). My story is:

I join groups with a WHM, and I'm asked from the group to go Noct (yaay). However, the WHM either dies a lot, or stays in Clerics. After we wipe for whatever reason, I let them know I will go Duir, and they said no. I did it anyway and glad I did, because the WHM died again. We won, but they told me that I don't listen, and found myself getting kicked.

Hmm! My SCH is now Lv54, and Leveling Roulette always seem to put me in Brayflox. I don't recall ever having an issue with progressing there. I don't know how to play SCH outside of letting Eos do her own thing (after I make her camp near the tank) while I throw some dots and the occasional heal.

My last party dps (both of them) decide to just stand still even though there are bad red circle below them, their reasoning? "Its fine we overlevel right?"

Looks like someone forgot the sync system =/

    No.

You must have missed my earlier post, it's not the DPS fault if they get hit at-times in the first pull to the wall in Baelsar's. The tank should run back through the pack and pick those up because they lag behind if they go all the way to the door. It's not your typical pull. There are ranged mobs that lag behind and randomly pick off party members, and that has nothing to do with DPS being "bad". We can pull 3k+ DPS AoEs and those ranged are still out of the pack, which makes no sense for DPS to let up on just to hit those strangers, they should be in AoE range if the tank does their job with crowd control.

It's best to use Eos for this pull anyway because Whispering Dawn can just cover the ranged DoTs and add another regen on the tank.

So, I'm doing Levelling roulettes as tank to generate some Storm Seals after transferring GC's. End up in Dzemeal Darkhold, some glamoured DPS so I assume they'll do a decent job and double pulled. The heals turned out to be what I'd expect from someone in Cleric stance, but they weren't in stance, so I die due to my own pull. Fair enough, my bad (I guess), sucked it up and went back in. Had a second unimpressive pull that didn't go overly well (unintentional - there's a lot of mobs on the side of the cliff and others that aggro from miles away for no real reason), died again. Decided to inspect the Healer's gear and it turns out they're wearing quite a lot of level 25 stuff and non-HQ'd low level whites (It's a level 44 dungeon), so that explained the 'cleric-like' heals. I pass a comment that I realize I need to tone down the pulls regardless and proceed to do just that. Rather than everyone putting the head down and enjoying a slower but smoother run, the guy decides to ramp the 'It's ok PRO TANK go pull everything' sarcasm meter to over 1,000 trying to make me feel bad.

Casually mentioned there's no need to be smarmy, but the twerp persists in passing snarky comments every pull. Grabbed a tri-pack and 2-mob patrol (5 enemies -- even with those heals, I could handle it fine with CD rotation) and they comment again. At this point in my head I'm thinking - you weren't being insulted, it's 4am on a Saturday night, and you're just going to keep ragging on me - find yourself a new tank. Left the dungeon.

I feel bad for the two DPS - they didn't pass much comment and didn't flame, but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend my morning being flamed in low-level content for one intended and one unintended pull followed by me looking for the problem in an attempt to adapt to it. Wonder if they'll even get it completed without a tank given Cure II's were providing about 1/8th of my HP bar a go...

Not a horror story but a happy one! I was playing my monk in PotD, along with another monk, a gladiator, and an astrologian. It's a floor 51-60 run so it's a bit tough for me.

Chronic health issues affect how well I play. It's easy for me to feel overwhelmed when there are too many abilities to keep track of and with PotD filling up my hotbars I was overlooking abilities I should have been using.

However, the whole group was cool with that. I had my back and flank combos down so I was keeping up my greased lightnings along with my damage buffs. You know, the basic monk stuff.

We talked and laughed quite a bit while clearing the rooms because I'm a chatty, funny lalafell. The astrologian seemed encouraged by this because she spoke up and said she played a level 60 monk main and asked if we would like some tips. I practically bowed and replied, "Yes please!"

She went over what the higher level abilities did and when to use them. She further went into how to get my greased lightnings up faster. She was nice about it and welcomed my and the other monk's questions.

After that, I felt like we both were playing remarkably better. All it took was some kind words and a little tweaking to get us on the right path. I forgot to get her name but I'll always appreciate the extra time she took to help me and the other player.

Thank you Ms. Astrologian! If you see this message, Nonomy Nomy (my monk) gives you a hug!

When your co-healer has been (likely) abused so much in the past about not DPSing that you wind up in a trial/raid with them and they don't leave Cleric stance. Almost ever. And I can't even be upset with them before it because the community did that to them.

As far as I'm concerned they're doing that to themselves. Nobody expects a Healer to be in Cleric all the time. If they make that choice, it's just as bad as not using it at all (outside of very specific circumstances, both ways).

Not mine, but I put my healer through hell.

Level 50 roulette put in me in Tam Tara Hard. Beginning of the run the healer says he's not a very good healer, but is looking to improve. Unwittingly I already gave him that opportunity. I derped, and it wasn't until partway through the final boss that I forgot to put up Grit. However, that healer did an excellent job keeping everyone alive. He got my comm

To the Roe healer who looks like Ganondorf, and has a name to match, not even Mipha herself could heal better.

Edit: One more that happened earlier in the day. Again not mine
I was tanking Gubal NM for my first time. Things go pretty well until the final boss. First attempt we mess up on the bombs, but we learn our lesson and move on. Second attempt, things are going well until the 2nd add phase. We weren't very coordinated and ended up spawning 3 adds. So I'm dealing with the spawns and the boss doing all I can to pop cooldowns. Our AST however keeps healing remarkably well, but his MP is constantly running on fumes. By some miracle we clear the fight. Healer got my comm.
