Raid 260 gear being ninjaed looted by 270's in DS :(

I run DS because I NEED 260 gear for my retainers.

There is literally no need to even gear a retainer

You don't understand how retainers work, and that makes me sad

even if you're gearing it

Not "it" I'm gearing "my retainers" plural

you'll end up replacing the 260 gear on the retainer with your 270 gear on you when you get those 4.0 drops.

Uhh yeah... but that's in the future! I'm actually playing the game right now. So other than demonstrating your ability to state the obvious, what is your point?

If it weren't for the chance to get some 260 gear, I wouldn't have run DS twice today. I didn't get any drops, and neither did the 3 other BLMs I saw in full 270 gear, but by us being there we helped other players get their gears & clears. I didn't even bail after the 6th wipe, but what do I know I'm just playing the game EXACTLY THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED.
