I disagree with talking retainer for items pulls your items off the markets. If you are going to do that we should have somewhere that is used for storage only, not storage + selling things.

Also that brings up another question. How meany items should we be allowed to sell at once? Is it fair that people pay extra money to sell more? Should this continue? should there be more balance between people that can afford 2 accounts +6 retainers each who do this to get around the specialty cap and someone with say 1 account and 4 retainers?
Realistically, one account should only be able to put as many retainers up as they are willing to pay for. This is more about fairness and less about greed. Greedy players who want to spend more real world money, can put up as many retainers as they want as long as they are paying for "store access", not "storage access", and this lack of distinction is why there is an inventory crunch at all. Allow players to create 50 retainers if they really really want them, but each additional retainer can only be assigned to "store", "storage", or "job", not all of the above. Only two retainers can be assigned to "Store", all others can be assigned to storage-only. Only two retainers can be out on a job at once. Retainers that are store-minding can't be out on a job. Item's flagged as "for sale" remain in the retainer's inventory until sold or removed from the market, and you can sell anything from any retainer in any store, but you're still limited to 20 items in each store. If you want to pay more real world money then you can rent more store spaces.

As a further improvement to the store, I'd suggest changing the way the store works to be more market based. eg "Buy at X, sell at Y", therefor solving part of the "(badplayer) is undermining me" problem by allowing players to specify a price that they will buy a certain item at as long as the retainer has space, or the price that the retainer will automatically sell those items on the store if they have it. This would allow players to actually just sell things on the market without looking for the best price or mis-pricing things because the game tells you the NPC price.
