looks like most like the idea of leveling jobs at the same time as classes. its a shame but if thats what the majority wants then thats cool. i'll go with the follow

I don't think they should have separate XP bars. The reason being that Jobs are specialized and specific to party play. That would mean, or should mean, that you would need to party from level 1 and all the way up.

Partying at level 1 would probably seem pointless to a lot of people and they would just solo... then what was the point of making party based jobs just to have you solo to 15 or higher?

To reinforce this, if you solo on a job to 15-20 or higher and start partying after that why not just have the job start at level 20-25? Oh wait, you mean like level 30 when you can unlock the job?

The people who played through the past year have an advantage, think about the 600,000 or more people who quit and don't have level 50 classes. They will start partying with the jobs at level 30 as they should be. It makes sense to me.

i can see your point. but also ppl are always complaining about other ppl that have not learned how to play there role in a party. if a job stared early and forced ppl to party early then that would give ppl time to learn there job. but i can see alot of ppl that have solo'ed all the way to lv 50 got a new job, gone to join a party coz now they have to. and there going to ruin it for the rest of the party coz the don't know how to play as a team

I think going back down to level 1 would be abit overkill, but I definetly think we should have to "level" our jobs at least somewhat through actual party experience (since that's what they sposed to be for anyway..). It would make sense to start all the jobs at around level 30, regardless of the classes level (as long as you are at least lvl 30).

Problem is you people are all making the same mistake. GLA IS the PLD just PLD can not use other jobs skills. If im ranking up PUG why would i rank up PUG number 2 (MNK)... its silly. The jobs and classes are gonna be pretty much the same. Its pretty silly to rank 2 jobs up that are the same.

But honestly, this game has very few skills / abilities in general. A lot of them are SKILL I and SKILL II. There isn't a whole lot that you can do to "mess" really. If you're playing an MMO and don't know how to play by the time you get max level then having you re-level isn't going to help.

Any real MMO player (or other game) is going to be able to read and know what to do...

All I'm really saying is having people group up mobs and AoE'ing them down doesn't teach you how to play your class or do end-game content. Spamming WS on my Mrd didn't teach me how to tank with it. Spamming WS on my Lancer didn't teach me how to be a good DD. Telling people to (gather together) (buffs) didn't teach me how to be a good mage.

You could hand me any level 50 and I could play the class just by reading the skills. Maybe there are some tips and tricks here but people who really want to perform are going to be asking / reading how to be the best they can.

Im...uncertain how i feel about this.
Both yes & no i guess.

    Exp is currently.... meh...

I do however like doing Quests & good stories told, so...who knows.

And getting lv50 BLM (or whm, w/e it will be) just like
that because i have both CNJ & THM maxed out already seems silly.....
    yet a little bit appealing.

At the moment i dont feel that "Accomplishment" feeling of any lv50s i have.

Possibly my Weaver in a few hours when i finally hit 50 on that by spamming my Craft-leve allowances.
(Ya....since there's no longer any recipes to freakin grind up on)

I dont know what to think / pick... i guess i just have to wait & see in 2 years. T.T
    If...im still around that is.

To be honest, it would probably make most sense if the job started at level 10 or 20 or half of whatever its related class is.

You guys need to stop thinking of jobs in terms of "levels" and "leveling". You're just confusing yourselves and others. Job is like a "mode" or "stance" that a class can go into for specialized party play. What abilities are available to you when you go into this mode depend on how many job quests you've completed. So you might think of jobs as "ranking up" instead like starting at Novice, then becoming Apprentice, Journeyman, ... Master depending on the quests you've finished.

All I hope for is that jobs are very fun in party play and that there is a clear sense of when using your job is better and when just relying on your class is better.

maybe they'll end up raising the level cap, but only jobs can be used above 50? Like Lancer 1 - 50, Dragoon 50 - ?
