I don't see why you would bother confronting people for not holding a FATE you were camping (but not actually camping anywhere near where it was).

If they broke the rules with their response, you may as well report them if it upset you. Personally I would have just blamed myself for being miles away and moved on. It wouldn't even occur to me to shout for people to hold it for me; if you're low level, not an English speaker (remember that most FATEs have localised names!) or not reading the chat then some complete stranger shouting across the zone is rude to begin with. I know that camping FATEs isn't the most fun activity in the game but some of them appear and vanish so fast you do have to properly camp them to have a chance.
