Honestly, I'd like to see the marriage option. I just got married to my ig and rl gal yesterday.

I'd rather have the option to have dresses, suits, and matching engraved rings, and as to the rest of it leave it to the players to roleplay. Leave the controversy out. The funny thing is, that as in RL most of the loudest voices demanding same-gender marriage most won't bother, its just a weak red-herring argument for "equality," which to me is tantamount to an atheist demanding to be part of the Eucharist service at their local church, who cares, leave people to their own rituals.

As a side note: It's mildly idiotic to hear so many people try to sound, "beyond" marriage, and talk about how unscientific or unenlightened it is; as if they were our brilliant, Vulcan overlords. It is a basic social unit, which at it's best is an agreement that fosters cohesion, meaningful cooperation and grants a following generation a superstructure to grow up in with certitude and two examples of adulthood representing each major gender.

From a sociological perspective its an outlet to provide a basic environment to sustain life, assign meaningful roles, teach the general mores and values of one's society, and is more meaningful than many of the other social units we form, and more useful than a great many, "necessary" social structures we demand in governance and society daily.
