HELP! Lost FC leadership and House furnishing about to disappear! Desperate

Hello everyone.

I have no idea where to post this and I'm kind of desperate right now for a solution...

So, I was FC leader of a small FC with mostly real life friends, and the real life friends of an online friend of mine.

Everyone left about a year ago... So I kept the fc on an alt and left to a more active on on my main.
Anyway, I heard Stormblood would bring a new housing zone. I thought this was a good time to upgrade houses. So I contacted my old second in command who has real life contacts with most of the other members and told him that we'd be destroying the house to keep the money for upgrading and buy things when the expansion comes.

The thing is... The house was destroyed 28 days ago and when I tried to go fetch the items and the money on my alt, I got a message saying that I did needed to check I had house buying/demolishing permissions to get them...

At that very specific moment I realized that I was not fc leader anymore... The one person in the FC that I do not specifically remember who they are is now FC leader... And has not been on for 14 days:

FC Logs show that the house was destroyed 28 days ago and the leadership was transferred 31d ago

So at best... if the person doesn't come back before the 35 of the house demolition... Everything will be lost?
A lot of those things were birthday gift from friends... While other things are events furnishing that I will not be able to get anymore...

I contacted the GMs several times in the past 2 weeks... But all I get is the whole "you lost your FC because you were inactive, nothing we can do to give it back to you" automatic response...

Isn't there anything I can do? Is everything lost for real?? Please does anyone have a solution??


td;dr: Was inactive too long, someone equally inactive with whom I don't have out of game contact is now FC leader. Our FC house is destroyed, and if they don't come back, All the items will be lost forever. I don't care losing my FC... But I don't want to lose the things that were given to me as gifts... -panicking lala-

Unfortunately because of the systems in place and the restrictions the GMs have, there's nothing you can do unfortunately unless you can find someone who can contact him outside of the game and say "Hey, we need this dealing with before it's lost for good"

Sadly, as much as it sucks, yes everything is going to be lost. Unless that person who was offline for 14 days magically comes back, everything is going to be lost. Your best chance of hope is to try anything you can to get in touch with that person by any means necessary.

It's not an issue with the game so doesn't really belong on the forums. There are systems and rules in place. You play by them. They don't bend to your specific needs.

As others have said, you're out of luck unless the other person gets back in time. The automatic fc leadership transfer is also 35 days so by the time it hands anyone else the leader role, the npc will have sent the items and gil to the void.

You can think what you want my purpose was not to "bend the rules to my specific needs" but merely to ask "if the rules allowed such a thing"
As for it not being an issue with the game, I would argue that it would be nice if the game's non issue was extended to more than 35 days as leadership transfer and house demolition don't even match together. I am mostly stating my opinion and in no way complain about the game's system as I was expecting such a thing to happen.

I had been searching for a week and a half, but I finally found someone who actually has real life contact with the person... So chances are my issue will be resolved by itself! <3

For future reference. If you plan to ever semi-retire an alt like this again, I highly recommend storing any important items on retainers. If space happens to be an issue, you can make another alt and not have to buy extra retainers. Don't think it's hard making characters on Diabolos. Hope it works out for you all the same.

Why do people go right for the GM's when they lose the the FC leader? Its working as intended. Move on and count your loses. You are not entitled to the 1s and 0's because you were afk for god knows who long (no, despite popular belief you are STILL not entitled under the current model because you were paying for a sub btw) Seems to be a common misconception around here.

Why do people go right for the GM's when they lose the the FC leader? Its working as intended.

People seem to think GMs are some kind of super hero but in reality there's no difference than the guy you call up about your phone.

I wonder, where you were when you got the email telling your housing were to disappear? You overlooked too much things to complain now. Just call it a day.
