How is it a waste of resscoures to make scrolls that are having no sounds or ambient sounds on them? It should be as much work (or maybe even less) than making scrolls with music.
Really with this logic we wouldnt need any scrolls at all, because you can just go into the area where the music plays, if you want to hear it

The reason I like and support this idea is that it allows you to really "compose" the playlist for your home. The suggestion to just turn of the music for 2 minutes and then turn it on again is pretty unpractical. If you want a playlist with Song A - Silence - Song B right now, it would require you to put a song into the silence space, mute your game (or the BGM) for the duration of that song and turn it on again... it would also only work for you, so anyone whos visiting your house couldnt experience the way you intend it to be. You might also miss the start of Song B if you turn the music on to late, starting in the middle of a song blasting through the house.

I'd very much like this with a "fade in, fade out"-feature (I dont know if the game already provides that when making playlists - I would hope so though...), to allow us to really compose an atmosphere for our homes!

So +1 for silence and ambient sounds, please!
