Silence the Orchestration!

This thread isn't what people think.

I was sitting in South Shroud just now doing some gathering/crafting and this really nice music comes on, lasts for a short while, and then silence for a few minutes before it coming on again. I'd like for us to be able to do something similar with our Orchestrations. I'm officially requesting that SE make a 2 minutes of silence orchestration scroll and make it available for 1k gil on some npc.

Please like to upvote this so that it will appear on the devs radar. Even if you wouldn't personally use this, it wouldn't hurt anyone to have this in the game either and would only take a couple mins of the devs time to actually develop while working on a patch/expansion.

But if you had silence tracks, you could work them into your Orchestrion playlist and not have to press the mute every three minutes or so...

I probably wouldn't use this, but it might be cool if there could actually be several different length silence tracks, or just the ability to add a timed pause to an orchestrion playlist. You could use pauses of varying length as transitions in your playlists, etc. Might be fun to play with.

The entire idea behind this request is so that people don't have to press the mute button every few minutes, and then unmute into mid song. It's just another way to build a set list. Like I said in the OP, even if you wouldn't use such a feature, there's no reason to oppose this at all.

As an alternative to creating a new scroll, such as an Emperors New Scroll, the devs could use existing items. We already have grade I through V Blank Orchestration Scrolls. Just let us use them as items where the grade level corresponds to the length of silence, and also keep them as materials in the construction of new orch scrolls.

That's a great idea. I'd love to not have to hear the housing area music when I'm not playing the orchestron, or just want to have a bit of silence.

I don't know that I'd necessarily want it as a scroll since that would mean it would take up a spot. I think I'd rather they implemented a way to have pauses between tracks that you could toggle on or off.
