That's okay. Just don't wear masculine clothes then, I guess?
"You can't play this game, I don't like the way you want to play" Just blacklist and go back to being a popoto.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
There's already an abundance of threads designed to show off one's character, both in terms of a 'catch all' thread for every playable race and specific threads to cater to those wishing to show off individual races.
Here's but a handful of examples:

http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Miqo-te-%21%21
As for raising awareness about the 'issue' of gender locked equipment there's an abundance of existing threads for that as well.

You misunderstood. We aren't showing off anything. We are making a point that there already is things that do not look unisex but are unlocked for both races, unlike certain other items. Same with hairstyles, makeup etc. And the 'abundance of threads' you mentioned, I can't really find any that are as active as this one, apart from the IC post written by a role-player who got upset over impulse purchasing a locked item that they cannot glamour. : ) Thanks for the input though!
While that is true, the lip color option sadly looks like gloss on male Miqo'te (and most other races, at least to me).
When I first created a male character (who was a male Miqo'te) I also thought that it looks weird that the lip color was almost the same as the skin color because lips naturally are more reddish / pinkish than the rest of the skin, so I would have given him lip color too. But I already knew from my female character that in a lot of lighting the lips almost look like they're chromed, especially in dungeons with dark or evil lighting. So I just went with the default no lip color. xD
(Also, look at the picture you posted where your character is standing next to two NPC ladies in Ishgard. His lips shine more than female NPCs' lips. Hehe. ^^)

I think the default lip "color" of male (and also many female) characters is the almost the same as the skin color because of the anime style of the game. In most animes lips are also colorless, in some of them female characters have lip color but most times they only have lip color when it's a character that actually IS wearing lipstick.
I wished there was a dull option for lip colors in the character creator, that would be nice! But unfortunately we won't get any more options anytime soon. ><
So, I've been enjoying this thread since its creation and I have wanted to support it in someway but I am way too poor to justify buying a fantasia to switch genders for screens right now :x so I was wondering, would it be cool for a female character to post screens in more masculine gear? Such as, for the longest time I've had my monk looking like a Greaser ala the Fonz and such. Slicked back hair, using the dun scaith monk jacket with leather pants and boots. Though recently I switched things up but I can easily recreate the look. If not that's cool, I just wanted to ask.
But keep this up, these glams are absolutely lovely and gorgeous![]()

Go for it! There are plenty of reasons a person with a female character might want to join in (solidarity, liking the look of guys in pretty clothes, wanting to allow more unisex clothing for everyone because your character looks good dressed in masculine fashion, wishing that some of those two-piece dresses were separate items like the Riviera dress versus the male-only shirt etc...)I was wondering, would it be cool for a female character to post screens in more masculine gear? Such as, for the longest time I've had my monk looking like a Greaser ala the Fonz and such. Slicked back hair, using the dun scaith monk jacket with leather pants and boots. Given that the 'solution' to the female-only + unisex nonsense was to start locking cash shop NPC costumes and hair styles which could easily be unisex, players with female characters have every right to campaign as well to register their displeasure at unnecessary restrictions.
(Also, a greaser monk sounds plain awesome. I did a gang leader style glamour once for my WHM and another guy, a complete stranger, came up and bowed to me then started following me around calling me 'aniki' for half an hour...)
Sorry if they are a little thrown together! It's...kinda cause they are and I'm not the best at sudden screenshots!

Hey everyone, luka ask me to post this on her behalf
Hi everyone, sorry for the missed updates! It looks like I might not be able to post again until the end of the month (I wish they would at least tell me what I did!), but I promise I'll be back as soon as I can.
I would love it if this thread stayed active while I'm gone. Seeing everyone's comments and super cute pictures will make me happy even if I can't comment for a while. Absolutely anyone is welcome, especially if they're as cute as your monk, StarRosie. Thank you for the support!
See you on the first!
:\ Uncool, SE.
This has been a great thread. Keep the awesome glamours coming and show SE that gender restrictions are silly!
