Ahhh anonymity. The great tool of tools for lazy insidious trolls who want to try and hide from any and all consequences of their actions. Got any better arguments? Cause that one falls flat on its face.Thats one of the things I love best about duty finder its anonymous I dont have to worry about, someone knowing who I am and where I am from etc. And Ive also seen others say similar things as well, so its more than just oh we are lookin for a carry duty finder is just alot more convenient. So its not all about just forcing all these great skill players to come in to save the day for everyone its really just a feature that people like as well just like you enjoy the rf. So we have essentially both getting accommodated those whom like df are just getting less time to enjoy which is fine at least its something.
tools ? I like privacy in real life so I am also very protective over my in game character as well and dont have time for nonsense in a video game. Especially if all that can be done is verbal arguments over a screen so whats the point. I just prefer to be anonymous by everyone's standards here the only thing I couldnt que for in the farm parties is zurvan. I have cleared everything else Ive done, but I personally refuse to ever join a party with ignorance in its description those are the tools not me. I can get into with someone but I prefer not to so I avoid such parties, and no its not because of the challenge, its the players.
This game is great but all the players just simply are not, I dont even use msq roullete for this same type of ignorance that seems to harvest itself in this game. Anonymous: the state of an individual's personal identity, or personally identifiable information, being publicly unknown. This is what some people like everyone doesnt want everyone knowing who they are , or would like to be able to select the ones whom do has nothing to do with being a tool. Tools are the ones who bird farm and post up in ideyshire on their mounts to show off while they are afk for hours thats not me.
No one is asking you for your creditcard information or where you live when you join a farm-party, so being protective of your privacy by making sure to only ever meet and speak with randoms is going a bit overboard.tools ? The problem with being "anonymous" in the game is the mindset that comes with it: "I'll never see those people again, it doesnt matter if I'm a douchebag" or, in less extreme terms "It doesnt matter that I'm queueing for this very difficult content that needs you to know and follow mechanics without knowing anything about them - I wont see those 7 people whos time I'm wasting ever again anyways"
I will be staying away from DF for the more difficult EX-primals (Thordan, Nidhogg, Sephirot - Sophia might have a chance; Bismarck and Ravana are faceroll thanks to us being overgeared) because learning parties in DF dont work very well, thanks to people not being accountable since its all "anonymous" in the sense of "I wont see those people again and if I mess up terribly its like no one will know!"
Also - I might prefer anonymous farm-parties, too! Why do you get to protect your "privacy", but I dont (anymore)? Why do you get the more convenient but I dont (anymore)?
When before we both had the option - please note: Those are rhetorical questions, they dont require an answer and the answer can surely not be "Because if you get to farm without setting up a PF-farm party I dont get you in my learning queue and thats unfair"
Instead of forcing people into learning groups they dont want to be in, they should make an incentive for people to help newbies learn - bonus tomes might be good enough for a dungeon that might take 5-10 minutes longer because of a new person, but they certainly arent for EX-primals: They take way longer to teach than a normal kill would and the kill (and with it, the tomes) arent even guaranteed - you might aswell spend the whole 60 minutes in an EX-primal or 90 minutes in a Savage-raid with nothing to show for in the end. You know what? If the timer runs out, you cant even give commendations!
To make it more attractive to even try they could do something like:
- An achievment that counts how many people were in a party and got their first clear with you present - if I run Sophia EX and 6 people are getting their first clear, thats 6 points for that achievment. Could only apply to EX-Primals (so it cant be "cheated" with 15 first time clears in VA or so), but doesnt has to be. There could be multiple achievements, just like the one for commendations, giving you titles, minions and mounts.
- Make at least commendations possible after the timer has run out - before you get kicked out, you get 2 more minutes to give out commendations.
- In addition to the commendation-part: Those could even be "special commendations" that count towards a new achievment, rewarding you and your party for sticking it out!
The current system, that simply removed the farm-DF-option, was a bad choice to get people to help newbies - its not giving them any motivation to do so, instead its "forcing" them. If they want us to help new people clear extreme content they need to give us more than just tomes - and they need to give us something, even if the duty failed.

You know even if you use Duty Finder, if you pull up the contact list afterwards it shows the names of everyone that was in the party and the server they're from? You can even BL people from that list.Anonymous: the state of an individual's personal identity, or personally identifiable information, being publicly unknown. As Vaer said your name is already out there in everyone's contacts list who you run any content with. If you are that scared of social contact that you can't even stand the thought of others knowing your username have you maybe considered that MMORPGs or multiplayer games in general may not be for you? I mean, socializing is a pretty major part of these games.
