Did the Platinums and Diamonds quit already....? I used to get fast queues in the evening and early morning past 4 and now I'm getting "More than 30min" in the evening o.o.
Queues in the morning have stopped.

Coming from someone who uses a PvP discord - people stop queueing for multiple reasons, but the main ones are frustration at losing so much rating because of the matchmaking system ie being plat and being matched with bronzes/silvers, or being matched with other plats that got carried there by good teammates because if you queue enough games no matter how badly you play; you'll get gold/plat - the frustration is further exaggerated by being unable to help people or tell them what to do because the chat is so limited. Then there's the fact that you kinda do all that for lack of a true meaningful reward other than a ladder spot; the gear's fairly worthless and there's no rating based in-season rewards ie gear, titles etc. What I'm trying to say is this game has a ranked mode with none of the attributes that make a ranked mode enjoyable to play for an extended period of time, this is why people just farm to safe ratings and stay there for top 100 rewards. I played WoW even when I was in safe Gladiator range (by like 200 rating) because it was enjoyable; I probably wouldn't find that same incentive to do that here in equal standing because other people will be happy to tank my rating for me - and I can't even blame them because I should never get matched with them in the first place.
I mean there's talks about this being made into something eSport close but the basics aren't even there to entice people; it's not even close. Also anyone else remember when GW2 was supposed to go eSports, sponsors even took teams on based on that promise and well... it's surviving on the money ArenaNet throws at it, because no-one really cares and even orgs that used to take on MMORPG teams aren't interested in exposure to like 4000 people. Their best bet is to either revitalize premade queue or make solo q more attractive, revitalizing premades (as much as I'd rather solo queue) is simply the more attractive option. I mean we've got people playing at fanfest with so little practice it is literally luck on the day; because they can't practice together as the queues are nonexistent.
There's so much more I want to say but if I do this post will never end, it's been edited a lot already.

I totally understand and know the feel then. I just got out of a match against 2 platinums(Healer and Tank) and a gold and silver(DPS). My team was one platinum(Tank), 2 silvers(DPS and Healer) and one gold(me). We stood no chance. People deciding their mark choices are the best ones and overwriting the marks by the tank/me. Not listening to call outs. Healer dying instantly.
It sucks how the whole "competition" is just an extended lottery. If I see a healer name I don't recognize on my team I already know we lost. And that's sad. I feel the urge to just /sit and go die to make it all go faster sometimes..

Any outcome of each match depends on the skill level of the participating healers. But to say, its ONLY the healers fault, is totally wrong. DDs and tanks can make big mistakes, too. Just a small example:
- No purify or selfheal used
- Behind walls or pillars, during healer cast
- Rushing into enemies with 7 (or more) stacks
- No CCs on attacking enemies, especially when healer got focused
- No use of boxes or LBs
- No focus on important targets (yeah, just spread damage...)
Playing healer in FEAST is one of the most stressfull things ever. The healer is responsible to keep team-members alive. If your healer dies instantly or is not experienced enough, its a garanteed lose (except the enemy healer is bad, too). In my opinion, healers should not playing the major part in FEAST. It feels like that healers do 50% of the job, while tanks doing 10% and each DD 20%. And that is not very balanced in my opinion.
The reason is, that good healers can be extremely powerful. Veteran healers can make your team invincible. But if your healer dies, you re nearly defenseless. You have to retreat and try again. And that is the problem. FEAST is mostly based on your healer. Sure, Veteran DDs / Warriors can burst every healer. But the healer is the (unfortuneately) the most important person in your team.
What could be changed? Well, here some radical things:
- Make healers spells weaker on other targets, than himself
- Give everyone more selfheals/counter/defensive skills
- Queen of Heal 2022 -
