SE Please add jump and swiming

Jumping has far from been "Confimed" just because Yoshida said it's something he wants, I don't see him quoting exactly "Jumping will be implemented deal with it"

I still see nothing that jump could add to the game, we are still unaware if server lag will still be a issue in 2.0 but as it stands, it's a massive issue. Then again I guess I'm just the kind of guy who doesn't want to "Hop" to avoid a tremmor spell or something silly like that.

While I'm adamantly against jumping, if they do add it, it better have a fundamental role in the game and not just be a glorified way to get past the "Ever so anoying knee high walls" that people whine about to no end. Despite what you think there are alot of people who just don't want it, because they don't like it. They are not doing it just to spite the people who think it's gods gift to MMO's, they just don't think it would be enjoyable to them and therefore don't want it...

But I guess that makes those people stupid or something...right?

that confirms nothing, that only confirms a forum admin saying something he should not have.

The question is not, can we have jump? the question is, does FFXIV need jump? and the answer to that is no.

I played Ultima Online as well, it survived many years without a jump button.

It is still going btw ;p
