now that dragon war is over will we see the dragoon get little dragonling to be his partner in battle? this would be awesome, right now the dragoon is glass cannon when attack her or his foes she seem go down fast. She or he has become the spear butt of everyone jokes.

Do you understand what a "glass canon" is? Because dargoons aint one...

And how has the Kain-modell not worked well for FFXIV? Kain is THE iconic-dragoon, I like the style very well!

Please, please, please accept for all that is holy that FFXIV is not and will never be FFXI - why is that so hard to understand?
From what I've heard the dragon-pet sucked in FFXI - with being overpowered but also having that longass CD so once it was dead, the dragoon was useless...
I also cant see it fit in AT ALL in FFXIV - neither gameplay nor lore-wise. With the pet dealing a noticeable amount of damage, the whole job would need to be revamped. Dragoon is actually a pretty complexe job, with all the different positionals and what not - you wanna throw micromanaging a pet in there too?
And I said this before: Yes, we ended the Dragon Song War. After 1.000 years. Theres still a lot to do, the game never is that simple. Trust between dragons and us has to be built. The little dragons we see are BABIES by their definition - what you're basically asking is a mother giving you her three year old after you and your people have slaughtered her whole family.

Get a little wind-up dragon minion from the moogles and realise that this is FFXIV and that the dev-team choose a different path for dragoon in this game than FFXI did.

As much as I liked my little Wuffi in FFXI, FFXIV is a different game and I don't feel the little dragonling would add much as a class feature, especially as it would likely mean a nerf to the class's personal output.

Now, that said? They've mentioned possible having other options for companions besides our chocobos. Partnering with a young dragon to adventure sounds like it'd be grand. Perhaps Kal Myhk for those who've done his questline?

I am in consensus with multiple posts here- Dragoons don't need to be what your FFXI dragoon was. Red mages don't need to be what your FFXI red mage was. This is it's own game- let it be.

The Bahamut we see is now a primal because he was summoned by his mate who ofc had her husband in mind - a primal can take any shape or form and which it takes depends on the imagine the worshippers have in mind. So the real Bahamut was a dragon, the primals is merely an image of that dragon.
