Four reasons why I'm not sure about this.

1) You can change your score by tweaking the game settings (score to low? lower the game settings).
2) Benchmark scores were only intended for self-competition rather than competition with others because....
3) devs won't need scores to be public to know what they are, and....
4) at the end of the day, all this would be is to see who spent the most money on their computer.
