This may not be for everyone, so these don’t have to be a required part of the quest line, but it’s the little things that make the whole of a game great.

    Mini-Games, new Development Tag please.
I second this. I have yet to do this parley thing in which you speak of, but I would always like to make better use of taverns and such - the ability to play mini games in them, even solitaire, would be nice.

My thoughts exactly. Parley itself is not a bad idea, it's just incomplete. I wish you could go into a goblin polis and use Parley and trade different kinds of crafting materials, materia, consumables, and so on (not only with gobbies, but also with other beastmen).

Burn Parley, the house it lives in, and all of it's family.

That is all I have to say about this matter.

Parley is a lot tougher than it seems, and I think it would make an interesting thing to play against other players. It even has the opportunity to be played against more than one person depending on how you tweak the scoring. It has that mixture of luck/skill that makes it a game that you could replay infinitely - someone mentioned poker, which is effectively luck and bluffing, and it is hugely popular of course.

I can't tell you how many times I took the highest scoring thing I could, only to see the cards line up perfectly for the opposition. Oops. Once I started actually putting thought into it, it was a lot more enjoyable. If anyone played Vanguard, they had a similiar idea in the Diplomacy card game thing but used it for a lot more (still came down to luck of the draw mixed with strategy) and allowed you access to bits and pieces within the game you otherwise couldn't get.

'Quite enjoy Parley, for my part, and I'd rather like to see it iterated on. Soo... yeah.

The one big gripe I have about parley itself is it takes forever for it adjust the cards. Such as if you score a combo, it will move one card at a time to the next empty space.

Not sure if other people noticed, but there are also abilities you can use in parley. Not sure what conditions are required to activate it though. You'll see it on the bottom of the parley window.

I once got the option to flip the fill direction. It didn't really help me in any way, though.

There is an element of skill to Parley because you have to watch how your pick lines up the remaining slots for the opponent's turn, however, a lot is still decided by hidden information and the current scoring system is designed for PVE and does not work for PVP.

Personally, I think Triple Triad is the best mini-game Square ever invented. Tetra Master was less good because the cards had a random element, so you could never know for certain how your play would affect the board.
