I was kinda bored today and wanted to be nice, so I took the risk of doing a mentor roulette and ended up in Sastasha HM. Someone is new, okay, no problem. I quickly check the group set up and make two obersevations: the healer and monk are level 60, the maschnist is 59 - and all of them have only french ticked, a language I dont speak and that I dont queue for. So I sigh a little since I figure there goes my chance of explaining anything - before I convince myself that this dungeon is easy enough to be run without explantions.
However the WHM is acting weird - I didnt expect them to deal any damage, mind you. I expected regens between pulls or at the very worst times. What I did NOT expect was them putting a regen on everyone on every pull. Or casting stoneskin on everyone during fights. Or casting cure on me when I'm not hurt at all and already have a regen ticking. They're constantly low on mana because they're using basically every chance to waste it. So I decide to say something after all and tell them not to cast regen on everyone and that if they're bored they can always dps because thats actually helping more than a regen on the monk whos not taking damage. After three messages that I type into the chat (all very friendly, mind you) I get a reply - "its ok".
...what is "ok"? The way they're playing? That I'm telling them to change it? Is it code for "shut up"?

Oh and if anyone ever wondered how many stacks of his damage-buff the second boss can get: Its 16.

@TrueBladeNuke, players like that are why I, a tank main, bring my own tried and true dps into expert roulettes. I run expert with static or FC mates or not at all. Not long ago I had an extremely miserable Sohm Al Hard while working on DRK relic and the dps was so low we wiped three times, the more poorly geared BRD left, we got a replacement, and cleared again but it was still rough.

Had a Ravana normal today that was clearly the poor WHM's first time. After the ultimate, they sailed over the edge with the first knock back attack. Fortunately I, the remaining healer, kept a cool head and did my best to keep people up until the PLD with three vul stacks insisted on eating EVERY tapasya cleave, and died. The DRK voked instantly while I raised and asked them not to eat second and third cleaves, then clearing was smooth sailing from there.

This might give you guys some giggles who knows but I had a super mega ultra hyper derp.

Healing in tam-tara hard while my friend tanks.

Two new leafs, but they did fine, wiped on 1st boss, explained tactics more thoroughly. On our merry way.

The big derp was on the last set of enemies before the last boss, I somehow hit shift + arrow up, without realising it. I'm spamming 1 or 3 for my heals, and all that is happening is me repeatedly unleashing my good job moogle macro. I was mocking myself unintentionally, and my friend was just dying and losing concentration.

When I finally realised what button to press to fix, the dps had like 100 and 200 hp left and tank was on 1000.

I honestly don't know how we didn't wipe xD.

I usually que as a healer now Trueblade whenever I seem to tank I get questionable healers or DPS that are afk/doing nothing. I once had a dragoon tell me that Phlebotomize was the strongest ability in the game for dragoons he told me he did the math and said it was optimal...he literally spammed Heavy Thrust and Phlebotomize, there was no Impale debuff either.

This was back when philosophy gear was a thing I remember that day because we couldn't make it past Demon Wall and had to abandon because our dps was too low. Not much has changed and it's 3.56b? Sigh least we have this thread!

Did an expert yesterday and got Sohm Al HM on my warrior. To make a very long story short, I was the highest DPS by far, the healer spammed cures on me even though I was full health and never did damage, in the end overhealing over 80%.

I was a little disappointed but after we cleared the dungeon, it only took us 22 minutes from start to finish. Not nearly as bad as I thought. Considering a high-DPS speedrun can do it in 12-15 minutes.

Putting that in perspective, I thanked them all for the party and left and thought to myself that wasn't bad at all. Left the dungeon 0 commendations, HULK SMASH!!!!
