Doing roulette and weeklies, a few stories in the past week.
Extreme Roulette
Down into the deep depths of steam and lava we go.
Myself as a PLD, BLM, WHM, BRD.
The run went really smooth. No loss in hate, full to the wall pulls and melting enemies as is expected from this point in the game. The run was 16 minutes long, one of my fastest ever.
During the run we had the pleasure of talking about the last story patch and the predictions we had coming into Stormblood. Everyone but the WHM was happy about the surprise reveil about a certain someone of whom left a bad taste in her mouth. It then became a debate if we actually ever knew the original person in question or if it was all truely a facade.
All in all it was an enjoyable run and we stuck around talking at the end of it until the forced exit of duty end timeout. 3comms
Level 60 Roulette
Enter Xelphatol. The composition I don't remember but the two dps were a team and the healer was a return player.
The pulls were as big as they could be, however, as sometimes is the case with large pulls hate is pulled off a mob or two while on the way to the end of the pull. (Usually due to a dps attacking a mob before the pulls done and threat hasn't been established yet). Rest assured though that I maintained threat at the end of the pulls .
Well, one of the dps made a side comment on the fact I lost threat in midst of a pull but it was just them receiving stress of a bad day. I won't say I wasn't a little upset by the jab but it was okay. I get that sometimes you need a release from a bad day and small things even as temporary as it was, can set anyone off.
Somehow the returned player thought it was them that the comments were targeted towards but we all worked things out in the end.
A small amount a drama in this one but the run was about average. 19mim clear. 2comms.
Level 50 Roulette
Enter Tam-Tara Hard. Don't remember composition but there was a new commer bonus as well as the healer cosplaying as a leprechaun. (Green outfit, big hat, and they talked as though they were Irish. While it was cute. It got a wee bit annoying in the end)
The run was uneventful for the most part until it clicked with the new person who the final boss was and they, for lack of a better word, went crazy. It was really fun to see someone get excited on the lore of it.
During the boss the healers controller dies and we wipe. It's okay, I don't mind. One dps bails and we decide to just 3 man it after waiting awhile. Beauty get through it. The newcommer was sad at the ending38min clear, 0comms.
Leveling Roulette
Enter Satasha. On BRD and have a PLD tanking. They say they apologize for a slow run but eh, whatever.
At the end of the run I ask if they'd like rotation advice as they were losing threat in the dungeon and they obliged. Proceed to spend 5 minutes explaining rotations for l50 and l60 and noting useful cross class skills. Also note to them how best to go about maintaining threat at l30-40 dungeons

Trials Roulette
Enter Final Steps of Faith. 5 new people. Run goes as you'd think. I'm a PLD Co tank is DRK. After 3 wipes and explaining mechs, we are yet again in phase 3. Somehow people fail to stack yet again, and suddenly it's the WAR myself and an Astro.
Duder is at 13%. I'm take Mt so DRK can dps and Astro throws an arrow on em. (I think? Not sure about Astro buffs) on the next aoe I use tank lb3. At this point duder is at 5% and Astro dies.
The next aoe goes off at 1%. I use my immunity buff and DRK uses living dead (?). Our buffs wear off and chats going crazy. We're both down to about 5% health and I pull off another spirits within before dying. As I die big daddy megee falls as well. Most exciting clutch moment I've ever had. Big props to DRK.

All in all I had fun this week and look forward to next week.
There's others but I've run out of time today. Maybe another day .
