Please add a new unique race to 14

So sorry, no "true" beast race possible. Only thing we can hope for are more Humans with animal ears/tails.

ESO has far more customization to it for character creation than FFXIV AND they have several unique beast races. So its doable, it just depends on sitting a few modelers on it for a minute.

Some people might not even want that. I don't.

We all know it's doable. They just don't want to. Any race we'll be getting is always going to be human-like with something added or removed to make them different, whether it be Bull Horns, Bat or Bird Wings, Bug Eyes, Animal Ears, etc., something that doesn't alter the human aspect of the model. Probably the most drastic thing they would do is alter the face like a Lion or a Wolf, maybe even a Bird Beak. It will keep the cranium like a human so you can add hairstyles and helmets, possibly even beards. That's as far as I think they'll go for a beast tribe race.

ESO does have more sliders BUT everyone still ends up looking the same unless you go for an extreme look because there is a basic template for each race. You end up with characters who are just as different (not) as the characters of the same race in WoW. I loved ESO, I loved WoW, and I loved SWTOR, but my character ended up hottest in FFXIV despite the 4 triangle Elezen faces. I would also like to point out how in ESO, apart from the Argonian and Khajiit heads and tails, everything is the same. It is still the same body, with a different texture. No special wings, claws instead of fingers etc. What would actually fit into a FF universe is also a valid question? Rather than just pumping out numbers and giving people what they want to see, I do hope SE spends money and resources on things that have a certain quality, rather than artificial quantity.

I'd love a wolf counterpart for the miqotes! That'd be cute. I'm curious as to what other races they could add. I'm glad they won't do any gross beast man liker races. Also, some more customization for current races would be just as nice, I'm tired of seeing a bunch of other catboys that look just like me. And the midlander boys just look terrible imo.

Probably not as that would mean they'd have to make a special version of face visors. It would have to be an incredibly squished face. I could see it looking very... interesting, to say the least.

I love both eso and xiv and am pumped for June since both get an expansion pack i feel a sudden illness for a week coming on there i wouldn't mind something akin to an argonion etc. yes it is primarily humanoid but it's more beast then anything in xiv though i will say i enjoy the design style of xiv more. Maybe give us an ability akin to werewolf in eso a temporary model change that simply overwrites the normal model with a few varied colors would add a bit of oomph to it.
