You can kiiinda compare Au Ra to the Gria... just take away the wings and ears, have the horns point froward/back and you have yourself an Au Ra :T
The male Au Ra are the exception, of course... still hate Au Ra overall, though.

At least they're a different size. We could use something between a cat and a lalafell.
Honestly I just want more options for the races we do have first, and especially... some goddamn cloth physics.

Hmmm. It was slight, but I think we can expect some cloth physics in Stormblood (if the Samurai reveal is anything to go by. Watch the sleeves).
It's the puffed out bottoms of robes and awkwardly diagonal coat-tails that bother me. I mean, what the hell's holding them out there? Why are the ornamental weights on the shiva gear pointing in any direction but what's gravitationally aligned when idle?Hmmm. I am silently hoping for another small race.

I'd love a wolf counterpart for the miqotes! That'd be cute. I'm curious as to what other races they could add. I'm glad they won't do any gross beast man liker races. Also, some more customization for current races would be just as nice, I'm tired of seeing a bunch of other catboys that look just like me. And the midlander boys just look terrible imo.

I love both eso and xiv and am pumped for June since both get an expansion pack i feel a sudden illness for a week coming on there i wouldn't mind something akin to an argonion etc. yes it is primarily humanoid but it's more beast then anything in xiv though i will say i enjoy the design style of xiv more. Maybe give us an ability akin to werewolf in eso a temporary model change that simply overwrites the normal model with a few varied colors would add a bit of oomph to it.
Oh good grief, to add a beast race like a wolf hybrid would require so many changes to gear models, it's just not worth it for the rather small number of people who would (over the population as a whole) use such a race.
Quite apart from that, the sheer effort that would be required would be *far* better spent on improving existing things, expanding character customization, improving gear models and cloth physics, preventing clipping, the 18 quintillion QoL fixes that are requested each year, etc...Spending time on a race that would mandate a great deal of effort in specific areas simply to support a playable race that would be used by a very small minority is really an unsupportable waste of resources - IMHO.

I'm of the opinion they could still make a playable void race and fit it in with the lore if they really wanted. There is already voidsent humanoids in the game that are enemies. Surely there could be a reason that not all of them are innately evil and are capable of thought process, emotions, or can feel the compassion from adventurers.
Surely the humanoids from that world can be touched by the light again in eorzea? I dunno, just throwing out my two cents. It could work if they wanted it to.It is eventually revealed that the Void was originally one of the thirteen mirror worlds that were created when Zodiark was defeated in ancient times. On this world, the powers of light were defeated and it was completely consumed by darkness, transforming it into the Void.
