You really either need a reality check or a definition for a personal attack.
Also it's pointless to debate the option that it will be added . It will happen anyway as they would need to put some time in rethinking how can they trim and display the msq without the fillers->> too much time and time = money.

There is no limit that can not be passed
ITT people who forget MMOs are a business and need to make money. Some valid points but people want to quickly join their friends and if they can pay to do that and are willing to pay to do that, SE would be stupid to not offer that service.
Perhaps they feel disjointed if you're already not wanting to go through them and not paying attention.
The Primal stuff keeps feeding new information that tied into the Shiva arc and on into Heavensward. The Refugee stuff ties into both Ul'dah politics and Doma, and the Ala Mhigan side of the refugee stuff connects to Crystal Braves in important ways (it all adds depth to Ilberd's actions).
With the exception of the Doman refugee stuff, those things have continued to see story development in Heavensward.
There is literal filler - things like Tataru and her trying out different jobs, but notice I've not included that with the other important stuff that takes up something like 80%of the 2.x series.
I'm not against it being skippable with a synopsis, or unshackling dungeon and play areas from being gated by the main story.
I am against describing the important story developments of the 2.x series as being unimportant and not relevant to the story (when they so clearly are) as it is a disservice to new players (who might be convinved to skip over itn if allowed and then later learn they missed a whole bunch of important story elements) and to the writers who are creating long term plot elements so that the story 5 years down the road was properly set up and is coherent with everything that has happened so far...instead of having to pull random stuff out of nowhere (*cough Pandaria cough*).
I get that it's easier to argue that the stuff should be skippable if you make it seem like it's not important (and you may even truly believe that, something I clearly disagree with)...but doing so paints a skewed picture regarding what happens in the 2.x MSQ.

Honestly? They don't serve to move the plot forward so much maintain the statue quo. None of them are bad per se, but they aren't much more than cool set pieces and a small measure of lore. It wouldn't be near as bad if there weren't a myriad of fetch quests. Heavensward manages to both develop the core plot and have decidedly better pacing. That's why people look back on 2.1-2.55 onward as lacking, though the story picks up significantly throughout 2.4. Nevertheless, plenty of players are simply exhausted once reaching this point. They finally reach 50 and complete the MSQ. Instead of getting to meet up with their friends or move on to more relevant content, they've handed another 100 quests-- many of which are completely pointless. Even someone who thoroughly enjoyed ARR, I too, was a bit worn down.
The only quests that don't move the plot foward are those like the Tataru quests where you help her explore different professions.
Those are also 15% or 20% of the total 2.x series.
There is a crucial difference between moving the plot forward and people finding those plot relevant developments interesting.
Clearly most of you don't find them interesting (I do, as I like more thorough set-up and intertwined stories), but you keep making the mistake that "not interesting for me means it's not important and pointless" which is something I can debunk over and over as much a needed by just pointing out how one plot point leads to and reinforces another.
I'm glad they are implemented this, I've tried to get so many friends to play but the amount of story required just puts them off... takes weeks sometimes months to start from scratch and reach 60 with 230 item level... not to mention they have to level sub classes too and do all the 60 msq on top of 50 msq
Fully support this, boosting will have no negative impact on the game, do you want more people playing? This is the answer.
I've had people quit cause they would have to wait 20-50 minutes for a msq dungeon to pop..
I gues this thread will never die haha
