Naoki Yoshida's Comment in Regard to Jump Potions/Boost Potions

It's funny because the three people I mentioned earlier who would use jump potions, they'd end up better players than 99% of the playerbase. lol

I'd explain more but it would make me look horribly elitist. ;p

Bottom line is not all jump potion players will be bad. Honestly most of the playerbase is bad, even after leveling up from the start. I doubt anyone would be able to notice the difference if/when jump potions are released.

I'd love to have jump potions considering I have several alts in several servers to play with friends and sometimes it's hard to level them all and play with my friends in end game because I'd have to do all story modes from the start and level all kinds of classes over again, causing me to draw away from my main priority server from working on her.

I would definitely support this anyways. Please let it happen very soon.

I just had a good thought about boost potions. It will help the PVP community. Hardcore PVPers don't like story, so if they can boost straight to end game to get into PVP straight away it'll help PVP queues. I at least hope so anyway.

And who's to say the skip potion won't be freely included by then? Legion did precisely that because Blizzard recognized you have to eventually leave old content behind. People are only willing to run it so many times.

If they are serious about this working they should package them (story and level boost) with Stormblood, or at least give people a heavy discount in the package. When you are trying to bring people into the game who are not traditional FF fans, and hiking up the price by charging for rather than including the boosts, the whole rationale of introducing boosts to entice new players is going to fail. Realistically they will still sell plenty of potions for people boosting individual jobs, or making alt characters. The competition, such as WoW, are giving free boosts already. I hear the argument "but WoW is on a much later expansion", which has some validity, however you can grind your way to current content quicker on WoW already...
