Did you even read my post thoroughly? Its gear based on the MogStation that is exclusive to NPCS such as Aymeric, Yda, Thancred, etc. These people are special characters that have models and clothing given exclusively to them, hence the name Aymeric's Attire or Yda's Attire. I couldn't give two craps over the Thavnarian Bustier/Bolero situation. If you really want to cry over diversity then let me tell you that females can wear the best man suit and males can wear the spring dress whatever too. THAT is diversity. Take your "you don't want gear/gender unlock" somewhere else because that is NOT what this thread is for.
You must be new here.
Look at this
It's amusing how on the surface this debate looks male vs female but its more like mostly dudes playing dude characters vs mostly dudes playing female characters. Yeah, there probably are some women who want it but all the women I know who play dont give a fk.
No one here is claiming they're women, though. It's also besides the point since we all pay for the sub anyway.
Thank you for being honest. This isn't about fairness, this is a rhetorical tactic. And it's clearly working. And by "working" I mean making more people miserable, and not actually helping anyone. I hope it does eventually change S-E's mind, but in the meantime we have threads full of people trying to justify a restrictive and at times hypocritical position. That's all I'm trying to point out.The thing is, we have had dozens upon dozens of these threads before and the venom directed at those with male characters (nobody has told you to fantasia or stop bringing RL gender issues into the game at all yet, I note*) meets with little resistance from those with female characters - those who do speak up are greatly appreciated. I understand that many of the people requesting Aymeric's set for girls would have sided with male characters if they had read those threads... except they didn't, and the only way to get their attention at all seems to be to make them equally miserable so they understand. It doesn't make me happy for anyone else to have to deal with these arbitrary restrictions, but we'll have more progress ending this situation if more people understand it exists.
They're being thrown around cause people are actually jerks about it. When people start allowing other people to be themselves without prejudice, then yeah, it'll stop.
Everyone has prejudices, even if they won't admit it. I am fine with people being jerks, as long as they are just voicing their opinions (no matter how "harmful" or offensive) and don't threaten others. And no, rude remarks aren't threats to someone's well-being.
