In fact, someone should create a thread talking about gender locks and also allowing opposite gender lobby animations.

We have had lots of those threads. Most of the regulars give up because the constant completely inappropriate homophobic/transphobic (!) comments we receive are demoralising when all we want is to have fun in a game, but if you would like to lead that campaign the threads are still there. The cosplay gear in the shop originally came about as the dev's response to the imbalance they created; they posted the original announcements in response to the complaints on the JP forum.

If you had worded this topic to ask for the equivalent female-only sets to be unlocked as well, I would have thrown my full support behind it without question. There's nothing in it for us to argue in favour of an even wider 'glamour gap' and to act as though there is ignores the two years of active campaigning and offensive remarks many of us have suffered through. As SpiritMuse said, it's not hypocrisy and most of us actively don't want the locks to exist. This 'compromise' was requested by those who support gender locks. Removing them benefits us more than anyone.

If you want us to campaign with you, all you need do is to include us properly instead of adding to our frustrations. When people with female characters say that female-only gear is fine and the solution is more male-only gear, speak out against them too to avoid this situation where said male-only gear arrives and actually, you kind of want it too. People ignoring the problem until they personally feel they're missing out is why the entire issue exists
