They need to add a "purchase this one premium package to catch up with all event stuff to date" thing. The way you have to individually purchase everything is horrible.

And that comes to $638~! Would that be cash or credit?

    lol :P

Would like to see the seasonal years get packaged each seasonal though, with the achievement pertaining to them rewarded at that point. (Sort has happened before, but like at least last time I saw all the Halloween ghosts are separated out into individual purchases).

Or if you waited like 5 to 6 months you didn't even have to pay extra for it (100% KC purchase).
That feel when the f2p MMO you play handles its cash shop a million times better than the subscription MMO you play... ugh.

To clarify my point... I'm subscribed to WildStar, so we can compare equivalent values as I'm paying $15/month for both MMOs. In WildStar, I earn Omnibits by playing the game, which I can then spend on anything in the cash shop (with the exception of fortune coins, but the rewards from those RNG boxes are all purchasable on the auction house). I don't even have to really try to earn Omnibits; they just kind of fall from the sky just by naturally playing the game. And I have more than I need! I have purchased all dyes (account unlocks, btw), all costumes (also account unlocks), most pets, and a couple mounts all with omnibits, plus unlocks for holowardrobe slots, decor limit increases for housing, and costume slots. I have spent real money in the cash shop twice and only because I felt compelled to financially support a particular decision of Carbine's - not because I felt like I needed to spend money or else I wouldn't get the item.

Now compare that to FFXIV's cash shop...

Personally hope FFXIV's team still keeps tabs on other MMOs and what they are doing / have done, there are a number of very high quality systems and changes that are present in other games that I imagine people would find very welcome here - although I fear suggesting it in such a way that its like "Yoshida Senpaii please dont do anything new" lol.. Thats not what I mean :P. There are also a number of mistakes they can attempt to avoid by seeing that how they played out in other games xD.

Sometimes though it definitely feels like there are not very many people who've played that far or kept tabs on other MMOs, even sometimes myself I'm shocked of neat systems in old games still alive but I do keep tabs on GW2/WoW. I didn't love the graphics of Wildstar but as you know I think Wildstar's housing is amazing and is why I don't want more districts, apartments or whatever, they're weak and minuscule compared to what I've tasted now lol. The graphics of the FFXIV housing system aren't bad, I like those quite a bit - but the system itself is like a level squirrel facing off Behemoth Fate.. IMO.. :P. It leaves me very few good things to commend FFXIV's system, graphics being a clear good point but that's about where I end too.

There are other examples of course that were less full power, but it seems a great consistency with the other ones is that they actually let everyone have a house (and are usually larger too). Personally thinking that the FFXIV districts turn into FC Garrisons would be an excellent very long term group project with high visual results allowing for the current district resources not to go to waste and give FC something to really buff themselves out with over a period of time, Suikoden find recruits build a FC army, Dark Cloud repair a community, WoW Garrison earn incredible utility and options. The big focal points of each area becoming optional FC housing locations (like the windmill, or the big arch thing in the mist).

Expensive stuff is best if the team has passion for, so I hope they get to see their competition to challenge them - the current housing system feels entirely noncompetitive (in this case I don't count the graphics because FFXIV's graphics overall are top notch in comparison to other MMOs). Although I wonder if its just because they didn't expect them to be popular, since they've been making glamour end game for so long I should think at this point they now understand the community is quite desiring of creative outlets and visions.

So when I heard of Shirogane I was like "oh that looks cool but I'm really sad they're keeping the system.. with all the same creative restrictions and limited capacity drama..". FF Realm Building would be amazing (assuming they keep on adding the objects they're adding but incorporate the realm and placement options like WS). To me its "stop making new districts and just give me the tools to make my own, give me a bunch of Asian themed items and I'll make Shirogane - if I want". Unfortunately that's not easy ask.., if it was I'd just hand them the code and server resources and call it a day lol. Oh god that'd be so cool to have your own pocket realm with FFXIV graphics... /cry

Bright side is I do think they hear player feedback :P. At least having seen changes over a long period of time, but at least many concerns I've mentioned/had/seen seem to have been addressed even if it wasn't in the exact asked way (as to be expected). With of course big vastly expensive and hard to change things being the worst to ask for change on, like housing. Since we're talking about cash shops, I still think they could do what Rift has done to allow players to purchase other realms - that'd be huge on RP servers (people might recreate zones or even "extend" zones, could have some pretty cool and unique story events if they allowed you to flag everyone in the area for PvP too). I think a simple caveat on the purchased realm is that the production buildings have reduced return or no return (but function visually), and as they're purchased they can also have their questline/upgrades finished.

Wish them lots of success and popularity so they can swing around that big money club at features, hopefully they do it with enough tact it doesn't feel like we're getting beat with it too lol :P

The subscription fee give you the music every year during the event if you visit the event place.
The scroll is not part of the subscription, it is a last event reward.
The option was to bring it to mog shop like with the event gears, or not at all like with the furnitures before SE brought them also to the mog shop.

I remember reading a thread where someone added all the prices and the result was over 200$, higher than WoW despite WoW's cash shop being around for much longer...

I don't know how it is now but GW2's cash shop before the expansion was pretty tame too. You actually got to buy more inventory space... instead of renting. And I never needed it because of the way they store skins.

You can actually turn all mount music "off" which is a personal preference to me.
One playthrough of the mount music when you first get it is fine but it gets very very repetative after a while. I much prefer to listen to the zone/area music rather than the mount music.

The price you pay (literally) for missing the original event.
