Cross-class/job leveling

Paladin will give you a big stat boost as you progress, so you'll want to get it before level 35 at least. For CNJ, lots of people say go straight for stoneskin, but I've also seen a lot of PLDs be like "well that was a huge waste of time, :/ " once they got it. XD So I think you're safe just getting it to 15 for now.

35 doesn't take that long either. A year ago I would have urged OP to go for stoneskin too, as it does have its uses (like saving a party with bad healers, as you can stoneskin while they heal/raise) and if nothing else makes me feel like I stand out among the other tanks, however with the new cross class system coming in a just a few months, I doubt the effort is worth it for just a couple of months of use (please SE, retain the identity that comes with PLD cross classing with WHM, I don't want to be a terrible vanilla DRK, I want to keep my white magic).
