Why are summoners so neglected?

Neglected? They're currently one of the best - if not the best - options for tackling the solo challenges in Palace of the Dead. They were - at least for a time - also the go to option in PvP due to how immensely powerful their burst and damage over time abilities happened to be. I know not if that is still the case. Still, they got 'glamour' options for their pets which is more than the other 'pet' classes have gotten. Would more be good? Sure, but this isn't WoW and 'pets' aren't as big a part of the combat in this game as they are in WoW and certain other MMO's.

I really wish people would stop bringing that up like smns are special snowflakes. Smns got stuck with some horrible looking lumps of god knows what as their pets for years. The fairies look decent at least, as do the mch turrets. Not to mention we were also promised more egis and that got scrapped. Which is why we now have egi glamours. Do I hope more fairies and turrets get made for other classes? Yes. Would I be ok if the other pet classes got egi glamours too? Yes.
