Why would an apartment need a workshop to make housing skins? ;D Also who has an fc that won't let them use the workshop to make a housing skin?

I've seen some fc's that are so tightly controlled where virtually only a couple ppl can deliver mats, progress it, and remove items made in the fc workshop. I do know I have seen some other threads requesting workshops to be made available for personal house's and I would only think it fair for apartments to have the same consideration. The apartments should also have a balcony of sorts for ppl to have some outdoor type furnishings too.

I had actually been in a fc once where I was in the highest rank for the fc aside from the leader position and the rank the original founder of the fc where all there were just 4 of us in that rank and all we could do was deliver mats for the workshop, gardening, feeding chocobo's, invitations/applications, get and use actions. Only the fc leader could promote/demote ppl kick members, place furniture, start/progress/collect projects in the workshop, doing anything with the the airship, and everything else. The fc leader of that fc had everything controlled by her and her alone, probably because she was afraid of someone trying to take over the fc like she had done to the original leader. Needless to say the original leader had transfered to a different server better suited to her time zone.

That's crazy. You'd think anyone that wound up would just make a rank they could temp grant people with access to only the mighty bubble and switch'em back to their previous rank once finished.

There's been some horror stories of people dismantling airships (the relevant part to allowing access to workshop), or cleaning out an FC house entirely. If you give away the right to promote, anyone can promote themselves to leader and kick the original leader out. So I can see why some would be reluctant to allow free-for-all access.

I'd like to see more normalish housing. I think brick housing would look cool, or stuff based on the beast tribes. Maybe something that looks like a beach hut for Mist, cabin for Lavender Beds and sand hut for Goblet.

Or ya know, do what they've been asked on here for quite a while now... get rid of the requirement for 4 people to be there since it's not really group content.

Yeah you would have to be careful about that. You can make a rank however that doesn't have promote privs, can't mess with the airships and can only deal with the bubble. The options available for those that don't have access or haven't checked "hierarchy" settings:

Is there a specific kind of tavern look you were going for in this request? Was googling taverns and there seems to be a broad spectrum as to their design. Also I've not been to a beer garden and those just seem to be a bunch of tables/benches? Please note, I'm not trying to put down the idea, just pull more information on what you had in your head. ^^ Right now for example you could probably go with the arms supplier's wall, put some desert ironwoods and then some tables/benches of your choice along with lighting if you have enough furniture slots for it and you'd be close to what I saw on google. We could probably do with some normal sized and extra simple long bench/table sets though (to the furniture wish list thread!).
