On Xelphatol and the Actual Summoner.

We interrupted the summoning ritual at Xelphatol, meaning Garuda could only flicker in and out of our corporeal realm and performed attacks as she was able. The Ixali summoner didn't "summon Garuda for an attack", they tried and failed repeatedly to stabilise her summoning during the very stressful situation of fending us off as well. A primal is without question a blight on the realm and within the current confines of the lore, will not happen.

The Carbuncle glamour quest does teach us that our egis can take different plausible forms we envision though, so maybe bank on getting a better model through that.

Drg- isn't a drg supposed to be a dragon master with command over dragons? Here they're simply dragon slayers. From the general lore I know of drg is that they pull their power from dragons and typically have a dragon companion.

Are they? All I know that's common amongst dragoons are the aesthetics of their armour, the lance, and the jump ability. Freya from FFIX had no connection to dragons from what I recall. Neither does Kain from FFIV I think. FFXIV is allowed its own take on the dragoon. Besides which, dragoons do in fact take some of their power from dragons. They channel the power from Nidhogg's eye for Blood of the Dragon. (Though it's not explicit if this applies to all dragoons, or just the Azure Dragoons us and Estinien.) (Source: lorebook)
