Possible means a platform (hardware+legal stuff) that can deliver all that the game have to offer to the player. The interest towards Nintendo's Switch wasn't unexpected.

The last I heard on that issue, it'd be easy to do but the Xbox people want some really silly terms for it. Mainly they only want people who've bought a Xbox Live membership to be able to play it and for xbox players to have their own server that's segregated from the general population.

The source for that was other posters on the forums though so I'm not sure how reliable it is. From what I understand they do require a xbox live membership to fully access all features of other mmos like Destiny and the Division. But Sony does too so idk.

Xbox was addressed in a Q&A session, it is not possible (yet) because the terms for developing games for xbox are barring to use xiv as it is. One main concern is the login system. Xiv on xbox require Microsoft's change of terms for it. Very unlikely, imo.
