If I could call out the bad DPS without getting banned, I would. As it is now, I have to sit and take it when my Shield Oath PLD is top DPS. It's BS.
Except that you can "call them out" as much as you can with healers. If you notice a black mage not using Enochian, you can ask them to please use it and the respective skills that come with it. If you notice your ninja not using mudras, you can ask them to please use mudras, and if it's just Fuma and Huton. If you notice your Monk not using positionals, you can ask them to please try to hit them more often. Likewise, if you notice a healer just standing around, you can ask them to please hit cleric stance and throw some Gravities/Malefics out in the meantime.
That isn't forbidden. They might not do it, just as a healer might not DPS, but that's a different topic. At that point, you're dealing with a lost cause and your best bet is to kick if you don't want to carry them.
That's true, but it's hardly if ever that obvious when I'm focused on my own play. When there is no easy "use X ability" or something similar, all I have is seeing this terrible player put out lower numbers than an origami artist with no hands. At that point, there's nothing to say other than "your DPS is low", and the report threats start coming out.
Edit: I will freely admit a lack of ability on my part, in regards to picking apart someone else's play. I need most of my focus for my own.

It's not that hard, if you know their roles, to know that the DRG is not using Phlebotomize or Heavy Thrust. One is a debuff you can see on the boss easily the other is a buff on their buff bar. Those are not even advanced, and I see too many DRG never using either.
Telling the healer to Deeeeeps when the BLM is not using Enochian only tells me that tank does not know anything beyond his own job (and it IS, in my experience, usually the tank that calls out healers for not doing deeps.)
